The problem here is that sexual orientation is defined as who you are sexually attracted to. There is no requirement to actually engage in sexual activity.
I'm sure it can't be any worse than you (a straight man) telling me (a queer man) that my sexual identity is both not valid AND detrimental to the LGBQ community.
I'm a bisexual man who has never had a homosexual experience. This does not change my identity. Would you tell a straight virgin that they aren't straight?
Mostly belay classes, but I also teach some intro/intermediate technique classes. And when people ask I guide them through things like crack climbing.
And it is awesome!
Awww snap! Love it! Making playlists with you has been of the best things happen to me in the past few years. It was truly a joy, and hearing that influence in this playlist makes me so fucking happy.
Hey y'all. Haven't given a Scruffdate in a while. Things are going really well. I've gone down to counseling once every two weeks, and am about to talk to my psych about weening off of one of my meds.
Work is great, I'm loving what I do (teaching kayak and climbimg classes). I wear a lifevest and/or helmet almost every day.
A big prt of my journey to this point is this community. Y'all are loving, supportive, and always there for me. Thank you.
Keep being good to one another! I love you all!
The Hold Steady announced a new album this week, and I'm stuck at work, so here's a THS-themed non-alcoholic cocktail recipe for y'all.
THE CHILLOUT TENT
-Pour a glass of orange juice
-Smoke some cigarettes
I heard "Old Town Road" in the wild for the first time today. It was a crowded gas station, and I was the only white person and easily the youngest person there. And everyone was going apeshit. They were singing Billy Ray Cyrus' part and rapping along. A guy in his 50s was doing a dance during the instrumental. It was such an awesome and truly bizarre thing to be part of.
