Fuck yes on Kylesa. Seperate metal list or no, “Spiral Shadow” is a fine album and deserves recognition as such.

BTW, all the folks screaming “senseless” and “pointless” while crying for subtlety should think about what decade we’re in. Subtlety may have worked 20 or 30 years ago, but these days we (as a society) have gotten so lazy when it comes to thinking for ourselves that messages need to be drilled into our heads with heavy duty power tools if the artist has any hope of creating a discussion. Which is exactly what M.I.A. and Gavras have done here.

If the gingers had been taken by random authority figures of an unidentified country and lead into a mysterious building where it’s alluded that something *may* be happening but we don’t *know* because we’re never *shown*, I’d wager that we’d have a 98% decrease in Sri Lanka discussion and a 5000% increase in Cartman jokes.

This forum (and, presumably, many others) are alive with debate and discussion because of this video. That alone makes it a resounding success.
