Didn't see your Lebowski-themed caption before I posted mine. Great minds?

"This show treats objects like women, man!" alternatively: "Stay out of Malibu, Ashton! Stay out of Malibu!"

I'll upvote an obscure movie I had to watch in French class that one time; why not.

I walked out of Weekend at Bernie's 2. Which I nominate, though it's late in the evening and no one will see.

Very late to the comment thread, but how good is that show! I watched the original Israeli version which was great, too. Season three is amazing, especially the Friday 5:00 appointments.

It was just a vehicle for Dennis Leary to be Dennis Leary. Not that I mind that per se, but that movie was terrible and I second the nomination!

I agree with Bad Santa. I tried to watch it on three separate occasions and got 15 minutes in and had to turn it off.

I had real feelings of "Pete's right" at so many points in this episode. Then I hated myself for feeling that, cause yes, "shut up, Pete." Then I thought about it, and Pete is right, 4 million dollars is so many dollars. It's even more dollars in 1965. The lucky strike guy was right. It's not personal, it's business.

When I watched this, my jaw dropped. How old do you have to be in England before your dad beats you over the head with a cane for dating outside of your race?

I attempted the first 7 minutes of this show and had to give up. *23 minutes earlier* it still wasn't interested. *11 days earlier* I changed the channel.

I hope that once we're through a few expository episodes, things will get good. I didn't know the people well enough to understand what was happening with the liquor and the stealing and the deer and the trees.

Give that girl an emmy for her January Jones imitation. I mean, seriously, how good was that? Totally acting like the woman she thinks her dad wants.

September 20, 2010 on Mad Men S04E09: Looking Good, Ladies!
I thought it was supposed to be a total noir pastiche, like the mystery of it all and we don't know exactly who we're seeing and what we're supposed to believe anymore. But then the episode was totally unevenly directed and my theory went out the window.

I feel that they should just have a montage of every character saying the word "the". It would convey as much as the current system.

In a society where this kind of thing happens ALL THE TIME, garbage disposals must have been reconfigured to handle vampire guts. I mean, it's just common sense.
