Please. I could almost respect your opinion, however boring, until you made the last assertion. That kind of presumptive arrogance is pathetic.
They don’t really ‘bother’ me, I just don’t find they add much except for the ‘Let me take control’ part. The bass is really the driving melody in this song… also nice melodies from jonny. I dunno! Thom’s usually all over the map with his vocals and beautifully, but not this time.
Yeah I totally agree. It sounded like he was just riffing on it or something. The rest of the music is fantastic, but he could definitely do more with the vocal melody. He’s usually so creative with them but this one sounded pretty lazy.

Seriously, I would think someone who has some musical knowledge would actually appreciate Radiohead’s music more than a person without. They have an incredible use of dissonance and atonality that always attracts me. And you cite Noel Gallagher and Chris Cornell as good songwriters? And tell us we are not advancing musically? I’m just so confused. Your argument makes perfect sense if you are ON THE OTHER SIDE. But you aren’t and you are saying that those two people (who notoriously write songs involving 5 chords and boring, boring melodies) are more musically advanced than a band like Radiohead who are, in my mind, ingenious. They have some of the most musically advancing material I have heard, and continue to do so, and I really feel sorry for you for being so passionately against them.
