I mean, she was definitely alright in this but she really needs to stop playing teenagers. Doesn't help. and in response to Steve's second comment (because it doesn't have a reply button) http://www.aolcdn.com/ch_kids/justin-bieber-300.jpg "Thanks!"
I am sorry if I offended anyone but I have found her almost always incredibly annoying ever since I saw Juno.
I know that lots of people will probably disagree but, I thought Mal was a good part of the movie sorta kinda. I agree with whoever said that it wasn't important that we like Mal (which is good because I didn't), It was important that Cobb likes her. She needed to be there for the emotional growth that she provided Cobb. Also the absolutely fantastic (in my opinion!) ending. not the ending-ending but before that when he's in limbo and talking to Ellen Page (get off my lawn, Ellen Page!). plus when she go down to the basement in the mind elevator (lulz but oddly it worked for me and provided an interesting visual representation of Cobb's mind) and Mal was screaming, I felt genuinely freaked out which I was really not expecting. Also, I guess it's a point in the movie's favour that I didn't even notice any real plot holes. I also did not hear the guy say "paradox" before pushing the henchman off the stairs. Thank god.
no one was there long enough except Cobb but apparently he did age it just wasn't very obvious (see some link up higher on the page that I can't find anymore). when he found... asian guy, he was in his forties so some time must have passed. Also he spent a bit of time in the level above before going into limbo which would have given... asian guy a head start. I don't? At all? Shopping?
I agree with this statement wholeheartedly but, I also wish that in a movie like this, that a director would just pick one side. Just once, I'd like to know what was real and what wasn't. even if it had just shown the top not fall over, it wouldn't have ruined the ending for me. It would sort of give it a haunting kind of vibe, that all of that emotional investment and depth and growth is just some fantasy. And then after that one movie, we can go back to the is it / isn't it endings.
though I don't know if anyone can see it because it said awaiting moderation.
:'( I posted my reviewishthing in the sorcerer's apprentice thread.
Inception. YAY. So this movie was very good. It had great storytelling, great action and great acting (DiCaprio is DiCaprio (“So great obvs no doy -Soft Gabe (Nailed it!)) (“He’s pretty and in Titanic? Fuckin’ SWOON -Ladies) although I kinda really don’t like Ellen Page. http://images2.fanpop.com/images/photos/7900000/Ellen-on-the-set-of-Inception-in-LA-ellen-page-7987985-432-640.jpg Boo! Get off the acting! But back to the movie. It’s very smart (and yes it’s Glade!) and everything follows a specific set of rules (for something Christopher Nolan just made up but they kinda seem to make sense like if this dream invasion thing was real, these would be the actual rules). Plus the ending. OMG THE ENDINGLOLPOGS!!!11!1 (Not the ending-ending but like 10(?) minutes before.) It’s not perfect but it met my quite high expectations and I would recommend that everyone go see it. http://images2.fanpop.com/images/photos/7900000/Ellen-on-the-set-of-Inception-in-LA-ellen-page-7987985-432-640.jpg Let’s tell Ellen Page to go away. http://images2.fanpop.com/images/photos/7900000/Ellen-on-the-set-of-Inception-in-LA-ellen-page-7987985-432-640.jpg Go away Ellen Page. Good, she’s gone.
Also, "I like to have a good cry at the nail salon" is one of my favourite movie lines EVER.
whenever the younger brother tells the older one to make pizza, I always mishear the second part so I think he's going to say "bitches love pizza." In which case I would love this movie if only for that. but since he doesn't, (all together now) UGH.
If the movie club did get changed to this I will be very angry cause this is the only time i've seen the right movie on the right weekend to participate. Also, i've been planning my comment since yesterday afternoon. (No, shut up! I totally have friends!)
No! I thought no one was going to use that joke!
