This is easy going fluff that's inexplicably beloved by hipsters. But if there's an inexplicably loved movie in the quirky rom-com/attempting-to-define-a-generation mold that deserves the WMOAT treatment (other than Garden State) it would have to be Reality Bites. Seriously, ladies, I have no idea why so many of you love Reality Bites other than Ethan Hawke being dreamy in it, because that movie is one of the most infuriating movies I've ever seen. I hated is as a kid and I hate it now and I hate it's message: treat a woman like garbage until she loves you. Great message, 90s flannel-wearers. :(
*Thought the comedy bits were fun. I can't function properly these days.
Loved Jon's speech. Though the comedy bits were fun. Then I made the horrible decision to read the comments section on news/politics sites... wow did people do their best NOT to get what they were trying to say. Now, I must return to the shower, where I've been since I've looked at those comments.
Well, it's certainly better than Poetic Justice, that's for sure.

I think we've found the new sounds the world's been looking for.
Everything was fun, but Community was on fire. That said... I hate to jump on the "this show sucks now" train, especially at the start of the season, but, you guys, these first two episodes have me worrying about It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. :(
Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter. Whoops, wrong thread.
David Cronenberg's A History of Violence or Eastern Promises? I vote Spider.
I have five words for everybody: I Love You, Beth Cooper. It almost made me hate movies. It cemented that Chris Columbus is a monster who will stop at nothing when it comes to destroying cinema as an art form. How anybody thinks his Harry Potters are the best is beyond me. I mean, look at the man's filmography. Seriously, look. Also terrible: Rent.
Seconded. It's why I will always hate Ryan Murphy (Eat, Pray, Love on DVD and Blu Ray this holiday season). Also, you guys who suggested The Quiet and Couples Retreat? Well done. Cookies for everyone!
Is it too late to let Neil Patrick Harris host the rest of the show?
You would think seeing Jon Hamm, Tina Fey and Joel McHale together would be something worthwhile. Thanks for proving otherwise, Emmys.
Nicholas Sparks? More like Nicholas Farts! Amirite? *quietly goes away*
This is how it starts. Next thing you know he'll be inviting kids to get *on* the lawn.
I demand a liveblog of the event. *crosses fingers for breaking coverage of Kevin Smith's Cop Out "Maximum Comedy Mode Edition" Panel*
I quit True Blood long ago... But I'll never quite you, True Blood Recaps.
It was a definitely a movie alright.
Wait until you see how stupid gamers will look playing the mini-game of this when playing EA Sports' FIFA 2011 on their Xbox Kinect. http://i46.tinypic.com/2ns5s0j.jpg
If you can work Amanda Bynes in there somewhere, I think your days away from a call from VH1.
Me watching this movie: http://www.gifsoup.com/view/738994/grinch-heart-grows-o.gif Yay, I love you again, movies! http://i46.tinypic.com/vzxxed.gif What comes out this weekend? *sees that THE GROWN UPS opens this Friday* Son of a bitch :(
I think everyone who watched can agree that last night's finale was thrilling, subversive of expectations in the most exciting of ways, and just plain bad ass. This is the recap of Justified, isn't it?
Okay, saw the Harry Potter footage (dork alert!), I can now watch Tremé.
Super late to the party-gum. Anyway this article made my soul wanted to do this (no offense, Gabe, I usually love your stuff). http://i47.tinypic.com/194jdy.jpg Then I remembered a great man said this: During this fight, I've seen a lot of changing, in the way you feel about me, and in the way I feel about you. In here, there were two guys killing each other, but I guess that's better than twenty million. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that if I can change, and you can change, everybody can change! Long story short, after way too much soul-searching, I'm okay with this differing opinion.
I want a Videogum "Nicolas Cage Promise." Nay, I demand it.

I was disappointed with Ridley Scott's interpretation of Hood's beloved "yoinks and away" maneuver. http://www.gifsoup.com/view/529340/daffy-duck-robin-hood-o.gif

I've been complaining about The Office's drop in quality to everyone from my therapist to the dog, but the show is downright stellar compared to the quality drops of other shows I watch. (I never thought I'd ever hate you, Dr. House! How I Met Your Mother... I don't even care anymore, nobody does! Buffy... I'm still mad after all these years that your last 2 seasons sucked so hard!)
Every show felt like that kid coasting until summer vacation. They were okay. Even for an Annie-heavy episode, as always, Community could always use more Annie. http://www.gifsoup.com/view/160852/alison-brie-complex-o.gif
Needed. More. Dancing. http://i41.tinypic.com/3128ltd.gif At least Spider-Man 3 was fun to watch... Who at Marvel decided that the first Iron Man was TOO much fun and felt that the sequel should have a muddled, boring midsection... cuz they need a raise! An epic fail like that is all too rare.
I blame Glee! Actually, it is Glee's fault, Fox is putting musical numbers in all their shows, hence the lousy musical episode of Fringe and why Dr. House will sing Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" during his attempts to diagnose his patient this week. My mortal enemy Ryan Murphy strikes again! (Eat, Pray, Love in theaters this August!...blech)
It's called Hot Sluts and you can find it at atom.com. It's just two websites down from restorestephenbaldwin.org
I actually laughed the most during The Office last night, but that's probably because I'm a sucker for some good ole fashion sexual harassment. And yeah, those kids on Community practically sucked all the fun out of the episode (and it needed more Annie!), but whatever, I must get back to work building my own Boob-O-Tron. http://i39.tinypic.com/n5q5vl.gif
Whoa, Megan Fox should take it down a notch. She'll blow everyone off screen with her Meryl Streep-ian acting and command of the screen.
Maybe it was the long hiatus, sleep-deprivation, or being drunk off a KFC Double Down Sandwich, but I really enjoyed the hell out of last night's shows. I wish I could dress like Easter, go to the room in my hair, watch some Bitch Hunter and feed Annie's Boobs. Did someone say Alison Brie gifs? http://i38.tinypic.com/2q36k1z.gif
This article just made me sad. Sad for Joe, sad for the audience, even sad for the celebrities(!). Joe, you should have snuck down the hall, where apparently there was a live-taping of Numbers. http://i44.tinypic.com/242vf3s.jpg
Methinks somebody forgot the star of last week's WMOAT. I believe you owe Mr. Prinze Jr. an apology. http://i30.tinypic.com/wvwrno.jpg
Holy crap, a quick google search shows that Augusten Burroughs has written SIX memoirs! You know how many Winston Churchill wrote? A mere three. Also, unlike Burroughs, he was interesting, lived an interesting life and was a total badass.
