I have all 3 of her previous albums and I thoroughly enjoy them. As one commentator has said, there is a dreamy quality to those albums but, after hearing “Chasing Pirates”, she is definitely more upbeat than dreamy. She has awoken and walked a completely different path to create this. Perhaps it has been born of new friendships, new attitudes or just the evolution of her skillful talent. If the rest of the album builds on the promise of this single, then I will be one of the first to purchase it next month
