Will there be an ode to Barack Obama on the next album?
in this day and age you can’t expect people not to record concerts. And they really shouldn’t be complaining because if anything, it helps the band. It gives people a chance to preview the new material and look forward to hearing the album versions. They lost the Jesus hair, now they should lose the Jesus-esque martyr act.
i can’t. i’m a bitter person.
but i will be seeing this because michael cera is pretty great. and i’ll probably enjoy it. then i’ll come back here and say i hate vampire weekend some more.
are you trying to imply that NME is more credible than stereogum? Because that’s laughable. Tiger Beat is more credible than NME.
definitely not as good as the album version, but it was refreshing to hear her voice sound so natural.
i love this idea. i think it’s really creative, and i commend them for trying something different. those posters are pretty rad.
If only “You Don’t Know Me” were a joke. It certainly sounds like one.
because Vampire Weekend makes everything cool.
Except not at all.
i don’t see what’s so great about this song. it’s mediocre, just like them. There are so many other bands putting out stuff a million times more original then this. The closest I will ever get to listening to Oasis is Cat Power’s cover of “WonderWall”, which is 100 times better than the original.
whether you like her or not, you have to give her credit. girl’s got skills. i find it really refreshing to see a female guitarist that can really play.
meh it’s decent, but definitely not as good as anything off For Emma. and he needs to loose the tank tops. please.
if you don’t care about bands like this why are you commenting?
you, my good sir, are a joke.
yeah i love Ed’s voice. it’s so melodic. I’m not a huge fan of Dan’s voice. This is a good song but i probably would have liked it better if it were Ed singing instead of Dan.
Blood Visions was a damn good album.
i’ve never been an oberst fan, but this is a pretty good song. his voice seems to have a bit more confidence, and it definitely sounds more mature. i might have to give this album a listen.
i’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but jay-z is black. i think in order to be considered “white corporate crap”, you must first be white. and jay-z has more skill than almost all the other rappers out there. i think everyone can attest to that.
i liked them better when they looked like Jesus.
can’t you go be an moron somewhere else? i’m sure there’s a guns and roses forum out there somewhere.
this totally sounds like ABBA’s “Money Money Money”
usually i love everything Regina touches…but no. this sounds like it belongs in the credits of some pre-teen movie.
the fact that you just compared jonsi to Rush means you know absolutely nothing. this should be the one thread where no one disagrees with each other. way to ruin it.
Absolutely amazing. They’re without a doubt one of the top 5 best bands to see live.
i opt for suicide.
eminem? is that you?
i think it’s laughable this guy thinks he’s good enough to even try to cover one of Weezy’s songs.

shutter shades has to be one of the worst trends ever.
