Nadsat, if all you listen to is black metal then what the hell are you doing on this site? :)
After listening to it I really like the idea. Too bad they didn’t do it well at all.
I kept waiting for the hook, but it never came. What’s the point of Vampire Weekend without the hooks?
Horchata is much better.
What year did he die?
Owl City sound like Ben Gibbard getting bitch slapped by one of the Jonas Brothers.
I really agree with this from a philosophical point of view. Creation is much more selfish when it is not shared. I’m confused as to why he thinks it is the other way around.
Man, I’ve missed Julian. This is a lot better than I was expecting. I’m pretty pumped to hear the whole album.
Awesome. RCA took them down before I had a chance to adjust my preconceived notions about this forthcoming album.
Anybody know where I can listen to these? Are they mirrored anywhere?
This list sucks. I could shuffle the Beatles albums and come up with a more accurate top 20 than this garbage. A Hard Day’s Night? Piss off.
I’m peeing my pants like a little fanboy right now and I don’t care who knows. I wish he was coming to DC, but I’ll make the trip to NYC and back for Sufjan.
How will I be able to sleep tonight?
Can I crash with someone Saturday night?
With his time slot and audience, Fallon might as well just do one long musical guest performance. He’ll never come close to touching Conan’s coat tails, so let good musicians that the old folks watching Letterman don’t have the ears for come on and play. You can talk to them for a bit too, get them in on the gags.
Indie could use their own version of Headbanger’s Ball, but just not completely sucky,
This will be the next stage in my air-guitar, bedroom Beatles fantasy.
Irony aside, nostalgia is not void of Truth.
Here’s hoping they pick up from where they left off with Hail to the Thief.
Grizzly Bear is a good band, but I’ll never understand Stereogum’s obsession with everything they do. They aren’t the best band around and they probably aren’t even in the top 10. While everyone sits on here and damns every other slow-churning, so-naked it’s like lo-fi, but isn’t quite lo-fi band with stoned out vocals like something from the Pink Floyd from the early 1970s I’ll just scratch my head knowing that within 5 minutes Stereogum will ironically post Grizzly Bear doing the same thing.
Now score me down.
Did they take down the stream?
The bathtub interview was better.
I absolutely agree. If you want virtuosity then listen to Franz Liszt and Neil Peart.
That’s not to say that I like this song. It’s boring, but not because it’s simple and easy.
Radiohead > Everything
Why is U2 on Stereogum? They are irrelevant.
There are no Shins without Crandall.
Feist always looks hot.
Is it just me or is Justin Vernon rapidly losing hair?
