Can anyone clarify this part of the statement:
“…the level of verbal and violent intimidation towards me, my family, friends and comrades has become intolerable. And the lack of support and understanding from my management and band mates…”

Does anyone known he means by that?

The 1st time I heard this song I found it hard to hear the melody….Is the recorded version mad compressed or sumping?

This reminds me of Travis…they did “hit me baby 1 moor tym” a bunch…or am I mistaken…?

£20 says they have the same manager!

No but…check them out because they are so great!….they make me feel French and awesome….like the 1st time you do extacy …before you find out it burns holes in your brain.

You know there are the bands that you love so intensely….You’d actually watch SNL on TV! …..if you knew they were gonna be on….it’s official..I just do not watch enough TV….missed this entirely…still very nice to see them getting some ‘major’ US TV after all these years.

Just curious…. how many of you knew about Phoenix before this stereogum post…? Be honest donnytilla!…you, mouth breathing puppet you…

HOLY SHIT THAT IS FUCKING GREAT!….Can you imagine if that was what U2 had put out!?!?!??…Do you think Jimmy Iovine would have allowed it?

She always sings like such a smart ass….and somehow makes you feel like you’ll never understand…..I love her. I want to go swimming with her in a pool of melted butterscotch.

Jawbreaker, Magnetic Fields, Fugazi, Sebadoh, Superchunk….

This is a happy list….Especially Diary, SDRE…I am usually mad at these lists…not this time.

She is such a brilliant talent…..she reminds me of Judy Garland in this…her voice is like hot puddin’

I’m happy now.

And they included subtitles to decode the Mancunian….that was weird.

Is your pic from Red Dawn?….wolverines

There are so many bands that would make excellent profiles….I’d love to see them do The Frames, Magnetic Fields, TMBG, Fugazi (doubt they’d do it)….MIke Patton would be mint…Did they ever do one on Nick Drake?…there was a great one on Jim Croce too….WESLEY WILLIS!

The Legends series was also awesome…I distinctly remember the one on Freddie Mercury/Queen.

I wonder if the baby boom cunts that run the show at VH1 would ever care to profile any of the great new music that has evaded their Major Label Death Squads.

That melody is beautiful….drums sound like they are on a subway platform awesome. It reminds me a tiny bit of ‘All Tomorrows Parties’ but with boys singing and quite original….does anyone know what they recorded it on and where?

Trent Reznor has an interesting and informed take on some of these issues here: http://forum.nin.com/bb/read.php?9,548515

Yes I do..AC remind me of Pavement sometimes in the ability to make something particular sound random…but AC have more focused melodic supports in the percussion arrangements…that pulsing is mint… but over all, in the ‘indie’ world I like The Magnetic Fields the bestest because I am drawn to bare melodies….do you think that the music I write precludes me from being influenced by and a avid fan of other ‘categories’? My fav band these days has to be The Frames though, would you call them ‘indie’… I like the 2nd 3rd eye blind record…That song “I’ll never let you go….” do you think I should hate them?

Walt Mink was angular and sloppy to ‘make it’? wow….I disagree….and I don’t think the SP did anything that Dinosaur Jr., Boston and Fugazi didn’t do before them…although their Frail and Bedazzled version was really nice….but there are monopoly defenders here. I’d like to here them come out and disclose who they are so we can know whey they are saying what they are saying….do these Dick Cheney minions dare to come out of the shadows?

This merger stands between all of us and happiness.

Do you know about Walt Mink or any of the early history of the 2 bands in the midwest? Anonymous posts never bring out the real you.

I got nothin but love for you grover…but to the point…This is all extremely disappointing. I keep asking myself why Corgan would feel the need to do this? What is it that gives people the unquenchable thirst to be the only kid in the sandbox….could he really be that anti-social?

0Posted on Mar 11th, 2009 | re: Miley Cyrus Vows To Ruin Rude, Stinky Radiohead (238 comments)

This is conspiratorial attempt by the Coldplay Camp to seed the next generation of teens with the idea that Coldplay are the “nice” UK band and Radiohead are the “mean” one. The parent company DEFINITELY orchestrated this…Prolly never happened at all…Poor girl.

EVERY “bad guy” drop is coupled with a good guy mention of Chris Martin.

and while I was listening to the audio of this and typing I developed a testicular goiter in my eye.
