brilliant
just because something was laboured on for 17 years quite clearly doesn’t make it any good. Besides, what MIGHT have been “groundbreaking” 17 years ago sure as hell isnt now. Epic fail
haha i really did not like this, i dont know if it just wasn’t my jam or whether it just didnt even nearly replicate any of the feelings the original makes me feel and not that it should either… I just don’t think it brought anything new to the table apart from a kind of embarrased feeling.
why do people bother coming onto a website they hate?
I keep thinking how great it would be if in a shock move beck cut his hair, ditched the hat and one night stormed the stage in that glittery cowboy suit circa ’96, with the break dance and falsetto voice.
Failing that though, he could try and make a sweet video again maybe? I’m with the Gondry vote.
he’s smiling because he sang the second verse first
im really liking this song, good shit
okay, thanks!
this is hilariously awful
pretty mediocre. The production sounds pretty good mind you(although only in low bitrate), I am expecting some of their best or at least most unorthodox production yet. But the song is definitely mediocre.
what a great video to a fantastic song. Very creative and simple idea.
shit, their sound was actually good on letterman and what a great performance. what an acheivement
I dont think it’s cheesy as much as it is misguided. I thought they were on the up with their second album now they SEEM to have dropped down again. Let’s hope the rest of the new stuff isn’t this bad.

“That’s what really hurts about this whole thing. That I spent so long writing the song, thinking about it, loving it, nursing it, and then finally recording it and standing on stages the world over playing it – and then somebody comes along and plays the exact same song and calls it their own.”
Nursing it? What the fuck is this guy on. It’s such a tiny bit of that song, Coldplay have hardly “come along” and played “the exact same song”. The marjority of people who noticed it must be hardcore satch fans anyway so… case closed in my opinion.
