Good list, especially nice to see Mad Men. Hopefully, Friday Night Lights will be No. 1 in 2009, because season 3 fucking kills it.
HRO not making the top 10 is so FGGT
Yeah, nobody knows of Montreal in England/ they aren’t bland enough for NME (doesn’t help they only played one show here on this tour)
I guess it’s nice to see Sitek on the list, but feel kinda sorry for him due to his company.
I love the Daily Show, but really don’t want to install iTunes
Colour me shocked. (Loving this single and the whole album – except Sticking with You, but that’s basically a B-Side anyway).
Love it, love them.
Pretty good interview (and Zooey’s track on the new Jenny Lewis record is amazing).
I couldn’t agree less.
I can’t believe he managed to follow Hissing Fauna with this. The whole album is amazingly complex, overwhelming and, probably most importantly, schizophrenically varied. E.g. Gallery Piece is just one opposite after the other and there’s great juxtaposition of topics, such as old-fashioned language with mentions of Halo.
“Beware Our Nubile Miscreants” is easily my favourite track, with Barnes creating this genius male whore character. Anyway, this is definitely one of my albums of the year. (I have a feeling Pitchfork might feel the same way).
This is really great, can’t wait for the new album. You could also have mentioned that there is a High Places track on that page.
Great comments here guys, good job.
Thanks for making my already great Tuesday twice as awesome. I didn’t even know they had a new album coming out soon, so I’m pretty psyched.
I’m not normally a huge fan of instrumental music, but this is pretty great and Writer’s Block was brilliant, so I’m pretty excited for the new album .
Love it, can’t wait for the album.
This is easily my most anticipated album of the year (with Of Montreal a close second). The last one was amazing: catchy, touching, unique.
(In before people criticising ‘Under the Blacklight’ – we get it guys, you didn’t like it)
When I saw this live (I wasn’t actually there obviously), I thought it was a pretty brilliant move; funny, quite insulting, but also pretty classy.
The redesign is OK, thought it’s not like much has changed (I agree that the bar on the left is unnecessarily wide). I do like the new comments system though, since the threading is very useful to actually have a conversation and the points system is a pretty good idea, since this site has some awful (and some quite good) comments.

I think you’re missing out on the importance of RGM’s indie cred from Tunde.
