1. Lots of paying customers of Spotify used to pirate all their music for free which gave you zero profits before. 2. Spotify is still not making any money. 3. Spotify is not the major problem with new artist not making profits. That problem existed before streaming radio websites. People just don’t buy full albums like they used to.

Beach House should probably win, with The National in a close second. Arcade Fire album should be up there, not as good Funeral but better than Neon Bible. I forgot Caribou’s Swim came out this year….that was a good one. I would like to see Ariel Pink ranked higher than 25 on future list.

Kid A, the greatest album of the decade, was recorded in 1999 and came out in 2000 , and IT’S NOT EVEN THEIR BEST ALBUM! If only we could have known so we could have ended it right there. Sorry guys, better luck in the 10s! 2000s, the year great music forgot.
