I am sorry but being a military brat myself, this video made me feel sad. My dad did Haliburton's job before it was privatized so he was constantly stationed elsewhere from my mom and I. As a kid I acted just as the kid in the video but luckily my dad eventually came back. This kid hasn't fully realized his dad is gone and I just find that sad. I am happy the Today Show tried to help out but I can only feel sorry for a child that is on the shitty side of a situation I was on growing up; my dad came back. Wish him the best and, sorry to get political for a second, that whole family should have all higher education and health care costs taken care of for their natural lives. Sorry to be a buzz kill, downvote if you feel the need. I will understand since this should be a happy video and it merely depresses me. Sorry again
The whole time I was watching this I was constantly reminded I will have to watch this with my friends since they love Transformers and I don't. They have been constantly trying to tell me how great Transformers series is and while I don't hate the movies I try to convince them they are merely mediocre popcorn flicks. Friendship is about compromise and understanding we can't agree on everything. At least I will be sporting a responsible drunkness when my friends take me to see this.
Tina Fey is pretty though.
I was looking forward to watching Black Swan this weekend. I was going to catch a Friday matinee since I didn't have to work and would have just got paid. Like a kid looking at the presents under the tree before going to bed on Christmas Eve, I went to a Fandango with a heart full of anticipation on Thursday night only to enter my zip code and find out that it was not playing in Las Vegas this weekend. I was crushed and now I have to spend a week avoiding spoilers on the internet and hope that it comes to Vegas quicker than 127 Hours did. It really sucked when that movie was spoiled for me. SPOILER ALERT James Franco cuts his arm off and gets free.
"I am going to call it Microsoft"
Now I know...Now I know.
As for Kevin Smith, there is a difference between low budget comedy and Kevin Smith comedy. When Clerks came out it was just a different environment and people were willing to watch two Gen X actors complain about their menial dead end jobs while dropping pop culture references. Nowadays pop culture references are the norm and unfortunately professors are too busy trying to reform low budget Taratinos to deal with the Smith wannabes. Also if Richard Linklater's Slacker would have made more of a buzz outside of the festival circuit, we would have wannabe Linklater's and not wannabe Smith's.
Yeah I know what you are saying That One. I went to college to avoid film school because I thought it would be a good idea to have a degree to fall back on if my aspirations of starting my own small production company failed, and then ended up being a film major. It was mostly film theory and besides cinematography, the production classes were pretty non-specific; try this try that and master nothing. While studying film I ran into the people you described and only a few cool people that love film and just want to be part of the process, whether a PA or director.
My DVR wouldn't let me watch this episode, now I understand why. Kardashians and jeggings? Thank you DVR your input was much appreciated.
Yeah you graduate and take a job in retail to pay your loans off... wait how does it get better?
You have to apply for approval from the Department of Sarah Palin before you are able to throw the word retarded around all willy nilly. Liberals need not apply
By teaching about the word on, Grover has now found himself on the internet to help initiate a conversation on the subject of monsters on videogum.com #onthewordofthedayon
And that is why Keanu is sad. He enjoyed the irony that was the internet's fascination with ICP and now that it is gone, he does not know what else will bring him the same amount of joy. Not knowing if he will feel the joy he was did only drives him so much deeper into depression that even a cupcake can not cheer him up.
Well it was not sad looking until after the article was read.
Can someone else upvote this for me? I only get to do it once.
Thank you so much, I completely forgot about ebaumsworld.com #2001gum. Barf inducing no, but it is a good look at what it takes to enjoy the technology we take for granted nowadays. The only thing I thought about the whole time is don't fall even though I knew he wouldn't fall. After about five minutes I caught myself repeatedly saying take a break and harness to a video that I had no control of. If I ever meet this man I will buy whatever he wants in a Las Vegas club/bar.
"How are you reading that in this light?" -person next to me trying to read with a tablet "It is a book, it cost me nothing because I got it from a library."-me
Look I am a bit of a dumbass when it comes to internet videos, I click everything, and I was looking forward to this. Unfortunately it has been taken down by youtube due to copyright reasons and after an extensive online search(for like five minutes) it appears no one copied this video and this was the only version available.
Thank you that made my day. That is one of my favorite episodes.
Hate to be a joke killer, but she is a born again, or so she claims. She says her excessive alcohol consumption and sexual activities in college were what lead her to promoting a chaste lifestyle.
So how long before Jay Leno takes over the new show?
No he got 2 right as well, Kanye had an amazing performance(yes I like Kanye) and lately he has been forgetting that he is an amazing rapper/producer and not a singer. Albeit he did sing the chorus but it was about Toasting to Douchebags and who doesn't love that? So a good performance with no controversy is pretty outrageous for Kanye. So only 3 & 7 wrong.
I am going to let you finish but I think the Ke$ha had the worst music video of the year.
NBC would rather you care about that racist show Outsourced instead of that hilarious one Parks & Recreation.
And we are done. It was fun
If I could I would, but unfortunately I have no say in any award show, except MTV's which I choose to not participate in because I am in my late 20's and out of touch with the MTV generation. Those crazy kids and their sorry excuse for popular music.
never mind he is gone.
He is on stage right now, with the rest of the cast.
Thursday night line up by adding that racist show about a call center in India
Dammit. Who typed a question mark on the Teleprompter?
