It always comes to this: compare minimum wages in each country, as well as average salaries. Australia's about twice the number, which means even with the exchange rate, the proportion of income it costs an average Australian is not as outrageous as Australians try to make it with everything. It's not different from cost of living in a city being higher and mirrored by higher average incomes in cities.
Dude, my family lives in Hamilton, and I think I know the gravel pit you're talking about!
If i tallied the times I've played Michigan vs. Illinois, it'd probably be Illinois, no contest, but Michigan does feel so much more nostalgic and authentic. Like someone else mentioned, the song "Holland" means so immensely much to me, because it quite literally provided the soundtrack for taking a nap on the shore of Lake Michigan at the end of my RA year at college with the rest of my staff ("things will end before they start"). However Illinois compared in acclaim, landmark quality, or whatever, this album is still an absolute masterpiece.
Possibly the fact that you commented on it in a fairly cavalier, dickish way. Go ahead, be excited about Daft Punk. But going out of your way to say "This story doesn't matter to me as much as other things" is pointless and serves only negative purposes.
Well, we did see her lying on the ground like a dead body at acting class, her body disappearing into the floor, leaving us only with her head and hands...yeah, I almost feel like the Pete "foreshadowing" started to be laid on pretty thick this episode, perhaps to the point of red herring.
I admire most the kid's ability to go from looking basically content to pitiful as all get out once his mother asks what's wrong. It's not until the question is asked that anything appears to be wrong at all.
However, I'm bothered by the mother's seeming inability to pluralize the word "donut." You'd think it was a word like "deer" or "moose."
Am I the only one who thinks it's curious that Mumford and Sons is getting all of these nomintations for a song that first appeared on an album in October of two-thousand-and-NINE?? I mean, I do love "The Cave" and the band, but that especially seems tardy.
Are you guys Grand Rapidians? I went to college there, and I'm hoping to move back within the next year! I had no idea there were other GR folks around, certainly not as active as you guys! I would love to #occupythemeanwhile, but alas I'm out of the country.
I had a hard time believing at some points that I was listening to a new album - some points just sound so much like points on previous albums. That said, my rocking out was hardly hampered.
