Okay, but no. Seriously. What the shit. :(

True. It's a real problem. Variety just had an article about this recently: http://variety.com/2014/film/news/employment-of-women-in-film-production-dips-below-1998-levels-1201055095/ I work in the industry on the editing side of things and hoo boy is it a dude fest. It can be very discouraging, but I try to keep my head up.
Congratulations to men! Did you know that only men write, shoot, direct, and edit feature films? Love ya, Oscars. #hate
Yeah, it was unclear to me if he did or didn't get hit. They certainly can't all get out of that situation alive.
Yes. I thought about Jesse A LOT because they never cut back to him once the shooting started (I think? I have to rewatch). We saw a ton of shots of Hank, Walt, Gomez, Nazis, but no Jesse. No bueno. :( :( :(
Oh man, that shootout. How did Hank and Gomez not get hit? They were standing out in the clear with an army of guns pointed right at them. One of the more ridiculous/cliched things on Breaking Bad, especially combined with the "I won't be home for a while, I love you" Hank-Marie phone call which telegraphed the whole thing. (I'm still crazy excited for next week, though. Dangit, show!)
I love that the caller sounds so offended. Caller: "I KNOW 911 is only for life threatening emergencies, asshole!" Dispatch: "............" Caller: "............" Dispatch: "............" http://images.wikia.com/irategamerdoesnotsuck/images/2/2f/Tumbleweed.gif
This is also a very correct response.
Me as this grandma... "It's a roll." "Okay, but what else could it be called?" "A cinnamon roll?" "Uh... okay, but what else?" "It feels hard. Is this stale? Is this my gift?" "Siiiigh. No. Think about it for a second. It's a bun --" "A stale sticky bun?" "-- in the oven..." "....... Well, you overcooked it or something." *Son slowly lowers ipad*
White men with a dash of lady. Just how I like my city council cake.
Yes! More people should watch Top of the Lake. I'm glad Elisabeth Moss scored the double nom. And also, Connie Britton should get nominated forever for literally anything because TAMI TAYLOR 4 LYFE.
Pornstache was also Nick Sobotka on The Wire! It is really awesome to have a show with an almost all-female cast of various races instead of just beautiful white women. I loved the scene in the "ghetto" when some of the girls make fun of yuppies. "Did you see that wonderful documentary about the best sushi in the world?"
Hmm, that is interesting. There are definitely thematic things going on in the S1 conclusion here. The event that happens in the last scene, the way the main character reacts, I do think was building for a while although it was still shocking to me. I guess (--SPOILER--SPOILER--) I was waiting for Piper to snap, but I didn't anticipate her mental breakdown going so violently, if violent at all. I wonder how much Jenji and co view that scene as thematic or specifically character-arc based. Blah blah. I'm not speaking very intelligently on this right now, but thanks for that note about the Weeds commentary.
To clarify, it's a spoiler-y thought about the ending point of the season for those who are mid-way through. Netflix releasing everything all at once makes talking about TV hard. :(
I also did not like Weeds much, but very much liked this! Subtlety is not its thing, but the characters are mostly great. I actually think Natasha Lyonne is kind of brilliant in her role. Spoiler-y spoiler thought (seriously, stop if you want to go in blind): I'm veeery curious how they'll handle at least the start of Season Two because the end of this one is mega dark. Are they going to have some cheap solution and have everything back to normal by the end of the first episode? Is next season going to go off the rails? Blerg. (Yes, I realize I am a sad, sad person for having watched the whole season already.)
"Remember when Ken called the shots?" Didn't call that one, did he? (Boooooooooooo.)
Legitimate LOL. Too legit to quit (lol-ing).
And congrats to me, for puking all over my work desk.
