I'm really freaked out that this is the first time videogum has posted this video, though I've definitely seen it before, implying I actually seeked it out on my own. But how did this come out in April, I swear I saw it months ago.... guys, I'm worried about my mental health :(
I think its cool that Bracos gaze is beyond space and time, because that is a meaningful attribute for describing a 'gaze', period! Also, what is the deal with people who like to talk about 'energy' and 'healing' using phrases like 'beyond space and time'? Its like, space and time are a common thing we are all bound by, and I'm pretty sure almost 100% of the things you like best in this world are bound by time and space as well, so cool it with the time-space hate! #ONELOVEBRACOSTYLE
Why does he want his dead grandma to cry?!? Or maybe he is super self-aware and then that is just a cold as ice real O.G. move.
I like the scene from 1:18-1:25 when his motorcycle transforms into another motorcycle. Good use of transforming car technology Mr. Governator! (Bing Bong!). Gotta admit though, that "Got Milk" gas tank truck was a pretty clever play on the exploding truck trope.
Throwing javelins at screens is what made this country great.

The first boy was legitimately not a bad rapper (and the third kid wasn't terrible either). Had nice lines, a nice flow, it was cute. Just shouldn't be singing the hook, that part was really not fun to listen to.
Has anyone stopped to consider how possible it is that WW is wearing an invisible sports bra?! Amateurs.
I don't know, I mean, it is still vey possible to live you entire life without experiencing a major natural disaster, right? Now it's entirely possible a major disaster (of any sort I guess, natural or otherwise) will reach 'you and yours' som day, and a great number of people do in fact end up living through a Katrina-caliber experience in their lives, but many never experience anything of the kind more than a flood warning or mid-size earthquake. I don't want to accuse you of being melodramatic for the sake of it alone, but I do think your comment is a little overreaching.
"This is Jabby's horse, this is where Jabby keeps his horse, he a good horse, and this a big ol' fine lookin' horse, but what nobody know is this a dog's horse house, but it is and... Jabby! Jabby! what the hell you doin' dog, you don't shit on your horse! Jabby! what the hell you doin'? You a fool dog! Aw, good god girl, hell no Jabby I ain't gon put up with no shitty horse!"
Isn't it weird how Jay-Z never mentions Gwyneth in interviews ever? You'd assume that since they're such close friends he'd probably name drop her all the time, but it never seems to happen. Maybe he just respects her privacy.
I'm sort of loving, but really more terrified, by Charlie Sheen's inability to defend his reason for getting off drugs (I know he is on drugs, but still, in the context of how he thinks he appears) as anything other than "I was bored with drugs, I wanted to do things that involved more WINNING". It is really scary too because he is oblivious to how false his 'I'm not hurting, im actually WINNING' persona comes off in this way that really reminds me of how my 4 year old niece can act when she doesn't want people to know she is feeling vulnerable. Except of course he is not 4, he's like 45 at least, and to see someone act that way at his age makes me feel like he just probably has the saddest inner life and that is really depressing.
FLW, don't you understand that by having a 'Monster's Ball EGOT minus lowest-rated', you actually have the most legitimate of the EGOTs? Lets be honest, a certain Steve Winwood only got on anyone's radar by making a name for himself with nasty comments, and his subsequent great comments were partly (only?) picked up on because it fulfilled our desire to see a redemption-myth play out in the community. But you on the other hand, YOU, FLW, have made a name for yourself just by playing the game right and wowing us with your funny and/or insightful comments. And for my money, that's the truer EGOT.
I feel kind of accomplished somehow for not hearing about his views on things. What, was this like in that Rolling Stone cover he did?
If you liked that cartoon Gabe, I hope you have read this: http://www.amazon.com/Snake-n-Bacons-Cartoon-Cabaret/dp/0380807904
I was pretty sure this was common knowledge by now. Velociraptors, like many other dinosaurs, had feathers! Remember, the birds of today are actually the evolutionary descendants of those dinosaurs of millions of years ago. So, a velociraptor probably looked something more like this: http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/diapsids/saurischia/velociraptor1_skrep.jpg
So is he campaigning to become the new benevolent dictator... by appealing to the people?! Dude, just take what's yours(i.e. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divine_right_of_kings)!!
I think its working, try it again.
"I hate Mondays!" What? She looks like Garfield in that picture.
I myself dream of the day when everyone gets tired of the million-cell-phones in a concert crowd thing, and leaves them at home. Personally, it isn't as much the annoyance that these people can't just 'enjoy the moment' (though that is a part of it) but more that, much like in movie theaters, those open phones are very bright and become distracting when you are trying to solely focus on the band you came to see and not a bunch of glowy lights hovering in your peripheral vision.
Right, I assumed homeless because he was in that seat, his legs were kind of spread in that 'I didn't just doze off' way and the jacket is a certain style that with the hood pulled up + the salt and pepper beard, it all comes together to feel very homeless, though of course that isn't conclusive proof in any way. and of course, while avoiding using his race as a legitimate reason to add to the 'homelessness' assumption (because it is, of course, NOT a legitimate reason) I will admit that a certain part of my brain makes that connection and probably added to the assumption for me.
I don't get what is so offensive about her naming her child Moses, my brother's kid is named Moses and he's just a normal working class guy! [Ed. note: My brother is a RABBI though. Yikes, Gwyneth!]
We runnin' this, Forest, lets go!
First off, I am very sad to not see The Invention of Lying on this list, really mean that too, I sincerely hope it gets done eventually. On another note, Garden State, really? Like I know people don't like it, like at all, but it is hardly a failure in its chosen genre of of 'modern-whiny-MPDG-containing-bilsdungroman', and I feel a WMOAT should be more than just movies you are too mature to enjoy now because you are an adult. Honestly, I don't mean to defend the movie as something really amazing and great, I don't particularly love it myself, but for the crowd it is meant to appeal to, its considered a very good movie for very good reasons, mainly being that its a well done entry into that 'genre' (see also: Donnie Darko). Additionally, as has been said, way too many of these movies have come out this year, and I worry their terrible-ness may not stand the test of time. I know this is in direct violation of the 11th rule of The Hunt (aka, Gabe is boss) but can I suggest a possible limit to the number of current-year nominees? Like, say, 2 per round at most? 5 of 8 of these are from 2009 or later, and that seems kind of absurd.
Whenever I see the "Remember Me" button on a website, it makes me think of the Futurama episode where Bender becomes a pharaoh and has a giant statue of himself built that says "REMEMBER ME" whilst breathing fire. And now you will too (provided you are really into futurama, and you remember that partic. episode, and then it is a kind of nice thing to remember cos futurama was great!)
Hmm, I didn't think it was that terrible. I'd agree that it did almost nothing for me, and it didn't add to experience the book provided in any meaningful way, but it could of left me feeling about the same way the Watchmen film did. It didn't really need to be made into a film, but its at its very worst forgettable and thats it.
Yes, came in here to nominate this movie as I have the past two rounds, so this post is me officially *lending my support*. It is precisely what WMOAT was made for. This movie supposes itself to be intelligent and even daring, and by its premise alone it definitely seems like it could be. In execution however it was heavy-handed and simplistic, insulting in a way I could literally feel in my gut (I should maybe mention now that I was on a 12 hour flight when I saw it, and this sick feeling could have had something to do with that... [IRREGARDLESS!!]). Oh, not to mention that even aside from those issues (which are obviously BIG issues in any film), the film seems very confused about what exactly its basic conceit is, and gets so muddled in this regard I can't imagine Ricky spent more than a weekend writing and then decided to not look at it again until it was too late.

Personally, I'm getting very concerned how Gabe just kicked Padma Lakshmi to the curb for a younger model. Stop trying to restore your youth Gabe, stick with the woman who LOVES YOU!
Wait, I thought it was 6 Puerto Screeches, as in Puerto Rican Screech/Dustin Diamonds.
Hey, does this have anything to do with when AnAmPat wanted everyone to email him a pic of their avatar? What was up with that?
He looks like the crazy old person from that Dan Akroyd movie "Nothing But Trouble." http://cdn.videogum.com/files/2010/10/DVD-PlayerScreenSnapz012.jpg Anyone?
Don't do it! Don't you get it? The everything-but-lowest-rated EGOT is the most wonderful EGOT of all!
He should've given him his own address and seen if he was angry enough to beat himself up.
I think both Galifinakis and Cross are good stand-ups. No C-, more like, B+ at least. Also Tracy Jordan as an actor A+? Really? Cos, yeah, I love him in 30 rock too, but besides that anything I've seen him in has been pretty terrible. 2 centz.
