Did everyone catch Tina telling Amy there's a special place in hell for her? http://www.videogum.com/684261/oh-shut-up-taylor-swift/top-stories/
https://twitter.com/DennysDiner/status/422544348622753792 Late but did everyone see this? I was wondering if I was missing RJ Mitte
"That was the sound of a tool chest falling down the stairs."
A thousand times yes.
I had a dream recently that I was in Atlantic City and ended up at the same poker/blackjack table as Billy Zane. I chatted with him for a minute not letting on I knew who he was and then he wished me good luck and I said "A real man makes his own luck" - but he didn't get it! Or refused to acknowledge it. Dream awkward interaction with Billy Zane.
While I agree with that, I think to be invested in Walter White's final arc, we can't do it with Jesse. Jesse is so beloved (except by crazy people who follow the same bb instagrams as me who want "the rat dead") that we won't be invested in Walter battling him, we'd be invested in Jesse battling Walt. He may be around for a little bit longer, but his relationship with Mr. White needs to transform again. I'm making myself sick about Jesse though, I don't know how much more I can take.
I think they're all dead (Hank, Jesse, Gomie). I think it's necessary for the story arc - that heartwrenching scene where Walt realizes he's caught and almost looks relieved? And the tear? I texted my friend and said "I can't remember why I hate Walt, help!" and she said "me too!" And now with this ending, it's Walt's fault but it's not his FAULT, you know? Like he didn't want this. And much like season 4 where Vince manipulated me from episode to episode, I'm now reinvested in whatever's going on with Walt in the future. I took a Xanax right before the last scene and it kicked in about 10 minutes after the show ended, which is good because I was literally shaking. I knew something big had to happen, but I am apparently an idiot because I didn't think about the nazis ONCE until my friend texted me that and I actually gasped and then started pacing. RIP Jesse, RIP Hank, RIP Gomie. RIP me, really. I've done nothing today but read recaps and I'm listening to the podcast now. (SORRY WORK).
I have seen an episode of Teen Mom so knowing who Farrah is makes sense. I have never seen an episode of Murphy Brown, yet knew Candice Bergen played her. And I think that there was an abortion episode.
"but to remind everyone that before we even begin talking about Dreamcatcher, Stephen King is for pre-pubescent children. So if you’re a pre-pubescent child, and Videogum readers often are, you can stop reading this post right now and go rent Dreamcatcher. It’s going to be your favorite movie. OK. Adults? Holy shit, this movie is nuts. Let’s go y’all!" When I fell in love with Gabe. Spoke to my soul. Remember the child orgy in IT?
This Film Is Not Yet Rated is a great break down of this, per your comment though, you've probably seen it. If not it's on Netflix instant!
Stephen King wrote this whole thing about the ending to Under the Dome now being different than it was in the book (I complained last week that I hated the ending to the book) so can I spoiler alert the end of the book since it's different now? SPOILER ALERT It's teenage aliens fucking with the humans as if they were children fucking with ants! Then they (humans) use a mind meld to explain to the aliens that they are sentient creatures and so the aliens stop! This would be hilarious and great and I was kinda excited to see it translate to the small screen, but it was less funny after the week or so invested into reading the stupid book. Also the propane was for a meth lab which is different too which is good because Hank would not be cool with that.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I turned 26 in April. Since being a child I've always kinda waited for my birthday to fall on Easter (it was normally around Spring Break) but now, as an atheist I finally googled when that will happen because it's important god damn it and it will be my 64th birthday. So HUZZAH maybe I'll have found Jesus again by then.
I've recently moved in with my fiance, out of a house where I had 4 roommates. This would be fine, but my fiance works nights so I've gone from always being with a friend to being alone a lot. Apparently this has made me depressed, but I didn't realize that until I was talking about how after work my to do list is "remove pants, find Friends, watch until 2 am" my former roommates are worried and consider this a cry for help. Also, April 2.
This actually hurts: What is wrong with this country! Have you never called someone overweight "fat", someone not very attractive "ugly" someone not very smart "stupid"????? they are all nasty words but sometimes when someone is doing us wrong we lash out with "words". That is nothing when you compare it to that person using a "weapon". Who is the victim here? Paula Deen IS!
I used to work as a tax accountant in NJ (where civil unions are legal) so we'd have to file joint state return and then separate federal. It was a nightmare. So I would think that yes - she'll have to pay state tax and this will mostly just make things bizarre and confusing for tax accountants with same sex clients federally married but not recognized by the state. Hopefully marriage equality will spread quickly.
I love it when my favorite bloggers acknowledge each other. It's like seeing a dog walking on it's hind legs.
I read the book and the ending infuriated me (because in true Stephen King fashion the ending came after about 1,200 pages of investment and sorry, it was TERRIBLE) - also Junior is hilariously a Stephen King character and the basis of every Stephen King book is that it's not the monsters you have to fear, but the PEOPLE. I mostly watched because I had to stop my rewatch of Breaking Bad to not pass my fiance, and this way I could still enjoy Hank, who I think is going to do a good job with his equally Stephen-King-y character.
My avatar is a vanity plate I saw in front of the Crab's Claw in 2008, to be completely honest.
Haha - that's it, that's the restaurant I spent my summers at in college. Small world.
He used to come to a Jersey shore restaurant I worked at for a few summers. He was going to be my table once, but requested something a little more private. I probably would have dropped everything on him though, so it's for the best.
