Bang Bang Rock & Roll was such a defining album for me...shame that each album subsequent album gets worse and worse.
Makes me feel old that Art Brut is doing a Greatest Hits comp...!!!
You assume it's intentional bad taste. Maybe it's actual bad taste. Is the name of the album intentionally bad, also? Yikes!
Regardless of that, can't wait to hear this. His first album still gets regular spins over here...so good.
The last album was pretty decent if not somewhat forgettable.
Went to a TMBG show last year. It was like a nerdier version of Middle Earth (yes, that's possible). There were lots of hobbits and dwarves and elves and everything in between in the audience, it was pretty funny.
"Surrealist soothsaying disguised as a coffeehouse trifle, “Bogusflow” appears on the ubiquitous ’90s compilation DGC Rarities, which also features classics by Hole, Sonic Youth, and Teenage Fanclub."
You forgot Counting Crows...Einstein on the Beach is the jam!
Haha yeah I see your point. Just sounded like a harmless opinion though, as opposed to a sweeping declaration like "this is utter shit" or something...
I don't see a reason to downvote someone's opinion...it may be boring to you, that's okay.
To me it sounds gorgeous. Already listened twice today. Definitely a keeper!
