Veganism is a perfectly healthy diet, when done properly. There’s plenty of things to trash moby about, such as his goofy ass “vegan for life” tattoo, his mediocre music over the past couple of decades or the fact he’s apparently a huge creep. Not sure why the dude abstaining from eating animals makes people so uncomfortable.
There’s like, millions of incredible black musicians from Tennessee. Completely ridiculous that even after all of the Confederate statue commotion, they still choose an old white lady. Good on her for rejecting the idea, I’d have been sorely disappointed otherwise
What the hell, man.
That's interesting. To my ears at least, Blonde was the record that had more of the eclectic "Jai Paul energy", lot of musical twists and turns. Unconventional chord progressions and song structures. To me, NU feels like his most "down to Earth" project. I mean half of the beats we had already heard before in some form or another.
See, that's where you're wrong, man. But I guess it's whatever helps you fall asleep at night. I think you're being willfully obtuse because you're the one who is being disagreed with my multiple people. Check it out- Not gross: "I'm not really feeling that new Autechre album. I kind of wish they would return to the controlled chaos of the NTS sessions or elseq. Bummer." Gross: "The entire output of the decade's most critically acclaimed R&B artist could have been written in a single jam sesh by this YouTube dude whose last album was called Loop Daddy 3." You don't see the difference?
First of all, I'm not on here enough for it to be "flattering" that I remembered a comment. I just like, remember things that I read? Crazy, right? Apologies if you tend to forget information after it's stored for a month or two. I was under the impression most people remembered shit from like, the 6th grade. Anyway- No, man. I can't really hear Frank's "improv jam melodic style", maybe I'm not assuming the dude is just writing easy bake oven pop music on the fly the same way you are. Regardless, I understand that appreciation of music is a subjective thing. But I'll reiterate my thoughts from that thread that SO obscure from SO long ago in December: It's less you thinking Marc Rebellet is better than Frank Ocean, and more your attitude that you're this objective authority on what constitutes good songwriting. I'll say it again, it's lame
lol you're still right, to be fair though. It actually didn't sample any 8-bit games. Street Fighter (I'm assuming SF2 was the one used in the intro) was 16-bit, Metal Gear solid was 32-bit, Goldeneye was 64-bit, and Soulcalibur was 128-bit.
Doesn't really have the same effect without that rAwR eMo dude avy
lmao at Marc Rebellet writing even one Frank Ocean-level track... His whole catalog in one jam session? What a silly notion, man. Insulting even. But wait- aren't you the dude who was saying there was a "racial aspect" to people "overpraising" Roc Marciano as a rapper? I really shouldn't be that surprised.
Still my favorite project of his. One of those time capsule albums that takes me right back to that headspace when I was just a 19 year old lad
I might be misremembering but I’ve got a copy and I thought it sounded pretty decent paired up with a nice tube amp
So what are you like, the guy that actually believes the numbers celebritynetworth.com put on their site?
Just trying to figure out how Maus still got a pass after doing music for Million Dollar Extreme. I’m equally not-surprised with both of these dudes
More like “Very talented dudes who have incredibly disappointing political views”... if they didn’t make excellent music at one point or another, this wouldn’t be generating so much attention. It’s why it’s all so fucked up. If they were mediocre to begin with, there wouldn’t be a 100+ comment thread on them
I somehow missed this news yesterday, as well.. Psychic was easily one of the best records of the last 10 years, might still be my favorite Nico record. Oh yeah, and not to be that guy.. But, Tom, he totally came out with 3 records this year, not 2. and the one you left out was the best of the 3.
really sad news. she made some of the best new age music I've ever heard. RIP, i'll be spinning Trans Millenia Music this week in her honor
Agreed, man. Nudy is one of the most overlooked guys out of Atlanta right now in general.
I totally disagree. Was my favorite rap album of the year, and had tons of "distinctive singles". Couldn't imagine putting that on and only jamming a few tracks. "Lo Mein", "POP", "Silly Watch", "You Better Move", "Chrome Heart Tags", "That Way", "Urgency", "Bean (Kobe)"... I mean, damn, I thought that album was really stacked. To my ears at least, it's Uzi's strongest album yet. Different strokes I guess
