also their song titles have been self-parodying themselves since album one. every single song.
next week, when stereogum uploads their new buzz chart, you should, like, save the chart, as a png, and put it someone WACKY!!!!!!! for like the top one, like 311 or something, but do it really fast, and maybe u can even get a lot of upvotes!
stereogum: we like safe, boring indie rock who "kill it" (that phrase...sigh...)...except for MIA, who is the easiest target and who the entire world is dissing so we'll jump on the bandwagon too.
also, no coverage of bon iver (+lance armstrong et al) vs. hipster runoff? that was more interesting than his bland as always SNL performance.
the RHCP coverage on here is as confusing as ever. do you guys like them? you don't seem to. and i can tell you with some certainty that WE dont like them. so why post a new RHCP video?
once you got into the banal pizza analogy, djfreshie, you really lost all your steam...i'm glad you took the time to evaluate my responses in such a clever and creative way, but just like the last time, you're not stopping me an inch, and i'll react however i want in the next post like this, and at the end of the day, you've wasted just as much time in the sacred comments of stereogum that i have, so enjoy taking the moral road and "taking out a troll" - bravo! i hope it feels great to be the defender of all things pure, you Comment Knight.

i never said that they do come at the expense of the news pieces...and i missed where i implied that. these fluff pieces are better not existing at all is what i'm saying.

well i clearly have an interest in this blog if i keep reading it, and i don't hate ALL of the content (to give you an example, the chris isaak post i actually enjoyed - i wanted to know what he thought of all the fucking wicked game covers and stereogum talked to him about it)...
i'm not being unconstructive either. my point is, and this has been pretty clear, that stereogum was better off writing news / interviews etc, and NOT silly FLUFF pieces like this one or bands that had albums 10 years into their careers...or which indie rock singer would be good on American Idol (basically before tom was on board the 'gum ship), because to me, it's not top-tier blog quality.
People read blogs DAILY because they are updated in REAL TIME, and when I see posts like these, that would make more sense to see on someone's brand new blogspot in 2003, what that says to me is that today was a slow news day. capiche?
and if no one cares, re-read these vehement responses. i'm not even trying to bait.
if this is the way i choose to present my comments, so be it. it pisses me off and that's how i react. and trust me, i'm way less interested in your critique of my tone and ACTUALLY more interested in why you disagree with me...that is, if you do, i'm not really sure, you're clearly too busy doing important things like lifecoaching my stereogum commenting. i'm glad that's how you choose to spend your time. how do YOU want me to comment, djfreshie?
i enjoy comments too about NEWS. also, you have to have noticed by now that p4k and stereogum post about 80% of the same content? (i.e. has the kings of leon / no age thing been posted here yet?)
i may be being a huge dick, as always, but last I checked, Stereogum was "the leading online community for independent and alternative music NEWS, downloads, and videos." So I don't see the purpose in these stupid lists besides getting a bunch of white males to comment and circle jerk each other above and below this comment. If I wanted a dumb discussion about music like this I could just go to Union Pool, I'm more interested in news.

why, for every 10 LDR posts 'gum has, is there ONE post about a BAND making genuine MUSIC like lower dens? amen for writing about good music for a change. i don't care about LDR on SNL i care about music! FREEDOMM!!!
refused sounds like a slightly more intelligent version of Korn. can someone honestly explain to me why people care about them? watch the new noise video and tell me it isn't two degrees away from a slipknot video (in both visuals and song). bunch of idiots playing their guitars as "hard" as they can. i honestly don't get it.
