Is it just me, or did Oprah really start giving him a hard time after he told her that "retiring is the selfish decision." Not the right person to say that to, Jay.
Seesh, I'm on a roll. I meant to reply to Lindsay's comment.
You are a funny, understanding group of commenters and I appreciate that.
Yeah, that part reminded me of Bad Boys II with the cars rolling down the freeway in slow motion only instead of SUVs, it was Robert Downey Jr. and Rachel McAdams. I also like how Jude Law only suffers a broken arm after that explosion, and is back in fighting form over the course of a day. Lucky guy!
Nope I didn't! I feel like that guy in Sherlock Holmes who gets rained on with secret poison/gasoline and tries to shoot the bad guy (in this case, the "bad guy" is my brain) but blows up instead while everybody else is drinking the anecdote. That's basically me right now.
Oh no....my worst videogum nightmare just came true.
Yikes, I thought Sherlock Holmes was pretty stupid. That villain was terrible. He built a special machine that releases a toxic chemical that will kill everybody except for the few in his little club that drank the SPECIAL ANECDOTE? How does this make any sense? Scooby Doo himself would have been shaking his head at these dumb explanations.
Yikes, now I'm thinking I could be wrong. Since I saw the movie, I've been talking that joke UP. Does anybody else wanna weigh in?
I'm pretty sure he said loyal. The joke being she's only staying at his lab table out of loyalty, but she doesn't really wanna be there. The joke wouldn't have made sense otherwise.
"I thought you were MY lab partner." "I am." "No you're not. You're just loyal." Best dialogue since, well, Inglorious Basterds. Seriously though, I laughed so hard at that part.
Yep, I'm a real person. Sarah Palin fans who read Videogum actually do exist.
I like this lady. Thanks for uploading the interview in its entirety. You've done all of Sarah Palin's fans on this board (me) a real favor.
Man, I remember the good ol' days when the first Saw movie was a benign joke of a movie that you could watch with friends cause if nothing else, it was bringing the comedy (Hellooooo Monica Potter). I know I'm stating the obvious but this is legitimately depressing.
YEAH! I second that nomination, Rush Hour 3 is completely horrific.
I absolutely agree, one of the best things about this season has been how much Trudy and Pete actually seem to love each other and be real partners in a real marriage. One of the best moments last night was Trudy kissing Pete after Don and Roger left. Aw shucks.
He apologizes to someone? Ok everybody, David Spade apologizes to the ONE PERSON who was offended by these totally awesome ads. We can all go home now, it's cool.
Whoops, I meant DirecTV, obvs. Gotta maintain the integrity of this wonderful company by making sure we spell their wonderful name correctly.
I'm surprised that this is the first DirctTv ad that's making people angry. Remember when Naomi Watts was an oscar nominated actress who was doing some of the most interesting, dynamic dramatic projects out there? (Mulholland Drive, 21 Grams) and then did a DirectTV ad where King Kong blows wind in her face? Yikes, how about Sigourney Weaver getting airbrushed within an inch of her life to look like Ripley in Aliens again? This David Spade ad is the biggest and most obvious "thing that makes you sad" in a long line of things that have been making me continually sad.
I'm so happy Don left that Manic-Pixie Dreamgirl in the car. She was really wearing my nerves (probably cause they rushed her storyline and failed to make her a real person).
This is the lamest comment of the century, but she's so great. She's just so great.
