The Polyphonic Spree used to rock this cover 15 years ago. That was fun.
I hate to say this, but this reminds me of an inferior version of Macklemore's Downtown. I at least watched that one several times cause it was kind of weird.
add Coming Second. That song is undeniable.
Theses lists are impossibly subjective. They've made so many great songs. I'm just surprised some of the following were omitted: Any Day Now, Red, Ribcage, Fugitive Motel, Grace Under Pressure, Leaders of the Free World, Forget Myself, and especially Sad Captains (one of my top five)
I really hope Adam Zacks is holding out to make a lineup that's at least semi interesting. This other shit is as boring as it gets.
Holy crap they're playing the Showbox Sodo? Last time they played Barboza. I know they made 5 albums and all, but that's a jump I didn't see coming.
Anyone who cares know the names. I think Dweezil Plays Frank is as catchy as Zappa plays Zappa.
One too many mornings and Chico's groove are still my favs....
the only (yet great) second tier Ween albums are La Cucaracha, Shinola, and 12 country golden greats. The rest could be put in any order for all I care. I'd put the Mollusk at number 1 and all others at a tie for number 2.
A Sunny day in Glasgow - In love with Useless The Juan Maclean - a place called space (just heard it and DAMN!) Lana Del Rey - Brooklyn Baby
All I can say is stop. Stop denying the fact that this album is FRICKING INCREDIBLE! Everything ever made sounds a little bit like something else. This group just put together sounds of different genres and made a great dance album. Let's celebrate!!!!
When I read Robin was going to sing Corduroy, I was worried. Turned out to be pretty decent. I like that they molded it to their own style. Anyone who tries to out Pearl Jam Pearl Jam is bound to lose.
wow. Just really frickin great. The tension that was "the terror" meets the gorgeous melodies of previous material = a great future for one of our best.
first off....lulu does not count. in order from worst to best. St. Anger Garage Inc. Reload. Load. Kill em all. Death Magnetic. Black Album. Ride the Lightning. Master of Puppets. And Justice for All (best thrash metal album of all time.....hands down).
Although the production isn't groundbreaking, this is Eminem at some of his verbally dextrous best. And like everything he does, you can actually follow his flow (unlike many other rappers who rhyme fast). Not game changing, but any Eminem fan will love this. A solid return to form.
I saw them twice at Sasquatch this year (they played an abbreviated second set in a shack for those who waited in line....me) Not for a moment did I think she was a dominating force. She's pretty, sure. She has a great voice, sure. But that was a band. They rocked.
maybe too late for this week, but that Dizzee Rascal video destroys.
