i think they may have conflated the start of Walking with a Ghost ('out of my mind') and the title of Back in Your Head into 'Out of My Head'... which is unfortunate...

On a related note (as much as the song isn't her best) Rachel Bloom's Lemonade parody has its tone pitched way better than Schumer's in that 1 it's actually a parody and 2 it turns a bit of art about independent womanhood into a bit of comedy about being neurotic, needy, and co-dependent. Obviously I'm a white dude so I am entitled to very little opinion on what is offensive/in bad taste re:racism but i do think dn is right in that Schumer's parody doesn't seem to be actually parodying? like, what is she trying to say other than 'I am Amy Schumer and if I want to make a beyonce video then I will'? In fairness I know some who like the production & the vocal hook of same love but they tend to just listen to the pt two thing the woman who sings it did (i'm blanking on her name)

One a related note, I don't know a single gay person (me included) who doesn't hate all of Macklemore's lyrics in Same Love. The message of that song is basically 'I think gays should probably be able to get married because my uncle is gay NO HOMO THO, I MYSELF HAVE BEEN A HETEROSEXUAL SINCE I CAME OUT OF THE WOMB.' I feel a little nauseous whenever someone calls it an anthem...

"Nobody believes... Pulp’s Different Class is the 6th best." Maybe it's a British thing, but Different Class is pretty much worshiped as a flawless masterpiece by a lot of people I know (including my best friend, my mum, my old music teacher, and my old boss)
