This is completely unrelated, but I wanted to ask you guys: what's with pre-Fergie Black Eyed Peas? I just downloaded Bridging the Gap, and it's all self-serious, and kind of... good. I'm perplexed. Were they actually considered promising artists at that time, or do I just have very low standards? (BTW still love the later stupid stuff)
I think, by definition, absurdly popular bands don't really need "In defense of" articles written about them. Then again, I have spent an inordinate amount of time defending the Black Eyed Peas, so maybe I'm being really hypocritical right now.
Can we give Kevin some sort of prize? He perfectly conveyed the story, got the images in order by number of likes(?), and made me tear up a little in the process.
As someone who is currently 6 hours in, I can say that I've spent more time listening to 7 Skies than the first 3 Lips albums combined. That might say more about me than the albums, though.
Can't wait for Marnie Stern, Doldrums, Atoms For Peace, Phoenix, and you guys totally left out the Flaming Lips and Starfucker. Bands I'm not holding my breath for: MBV, U2, Hockey, Franz Ferdinand
