neither bowie nor kanye, he's talking about the depeche mode "never let me down" which they've covered before
I usually agree with this column but I think you're being way too critical on Post Malone. It's just feel good music! I've listened to the tape a few times and although nothing hits as hard as "White Iverson", it's a short tape of hooks and melodies that are just so easy to sink into and vibe out on. The way he blends his singing and rapping, though not groundbreaking, feels so fluid and natural, you can tell that he is really just letting it flow and expressing himself. He's not the strongest lyricist, but who cares? Rap isn't just about strong lyrics anymore. Chance the Rapper is changing the world, there's no comparison, but Post is just making feel good music that's perfect to smoke one to late at night with your friends...
I read stereogum to introduce me to new music from various genres. If they want to throw in corporate sponsored ad to make a few bucks I don't care. I'm still hearing new music, and reading other peoples opinions and that makes me happy.
The Slip is one of my very favorite NIN albums. It's short, cohesive and it successfully bounces around a few different styles he was experimenting with at the time. I personally think that it was the best accomplishment of his comeback.
we get it, you're their biggest fan
Let's hope this means a new Modest Mouse album is coming this year.
But Hatful of Hollow is on there...

I DEMAND TO KNOW WHY MORRISSEY ISN'T ON THIS LIST.
I don't know a single band on this list!
I'm so glad I tuned in for their one line.
this was written by my dad
I think I'm the only one in the world who thinks Paralytic Stalks is the album of the year.
Morrissey's eyes should win a prize.
