Holy crap, my hometown on Videogum! It's like Christmas and my birthday all rolled into one!
I for some reason felt the need to put headphones UP when I watched this. And kept fiddling with the volume wondering where the sound was. Not enough coffee? Not enough coffee.
I still love the JPop America Fun Time Now sketches. Every time. And Stefon was great, as usual. The whole button bit killed me. Aww. Otherwise I was kind of thought this episode was meh? All the Jewish kid sketch consisted of was yelling? Meh.
Guys, this week has been the worst! But Videogum is always the best! Here's to whiskey time! http://30.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0knpybDPs1qlfn3ro2_250.gif
I don't own a TV, don't feel like streaming it, so, yeah. HOW ARE THE DRESSES. THIS IS ALL I CARE ABOUT.
Guys, can I talk about Monday Night TV and ask if anyone else is loving Smash as much as I am!? Except for the whole Debra Messing Being In It thing?
I normally don't get a chance to read the Gabe/Kelly chats but mannnnnn this was awesome.
It's kind of like a lamer version of I Will Follow You Into The Dark's guitar part.
Say what you will about the actual joke, but Obama has the best post-joke face.
I give the cast for Detachment an A+. Holy carp.
I never get to watch Thursday Night TV on Thursday Nights and yet the I-have-no-idea-what's-going-on-spoilery-out-of-context-gif-party is my favorite part of Fridays. GIFS FOR E'ERBODY!!!!!
Or I can't read very well. I liked that, too! Reading VG at work apparently doesn't compute for me.
How have we not talked about DanRad playing Casey Anthony's dog?! That costume was the funniest part of the evening BY FARRRRRR.
...and this is any different from the teen's choice awards because...?
The Tebow sketch was my favorite part. Sudeikis makes a great Jesus.
I feel bad that I can't comment as much anymore (and that apparently my Facebook has taken over my commenting abilities because I don't notice until it's too late...) but I mean, I love reading Videogum. I feel out of touch lately because my life's been a wreck, and I miss taking part in Thursday Night TV comment threads because I can't watch TV really until Sunday night. BOO. But, in general, I love you, VG! You, Kelly and Gabe, make me laugh a lot. As do you, commenters! I think the blog is doing just fine. I would only like if I had more time to participate. Stupid life!
I have recently started reading Max Silvestri's Netflix Watch Instantly movie reviews on Grantland. They are great. And make me miss WMOAT a lot. Read them until WMOAT comes back! http://www.grantland.com/search/_/query/max-silvestri
Community is definitely not trying to sexualize Annie anymore.
Am I the only one who really, really, REALLY didn't think Coach Bert was very funny, and really actually crossed a line? I don't know, I think the whole Sandusky thing is very sad, and this idea of them having a character say "he didn't molest me, but after a while, I wish he had" (or something to that effect) doesn't sit well with me. I know I'm late to the game, but while most of this episode was pretty okay, this, to me, wasn't funny at all.
