Did Stereogum ever work with Berru? Pitchfork noted in their story that Berru was an intern there in 2005 and that the publication worked with Life or Death regularly, which is no surprise considering the L or D represented.
listen i love FJM just as much as the next guy, but every once in a while you want to tell the class clown to just shut the fuck up for one second and let us enjoy something without your snark. part of what makes the RA version great is that it's totally devoid of irony.
On a side note, I'd like to applaud Snapes for her tact--she didn't hide from the truth but didn't stoop to his level. I have a favorite phrase and I think it applies here: "Ain't No Mud on the High Road."
