This sounds like alternate universe Franz Ferdinand.
I didn't mind it while I was listening to it, but i'm pretty sure if you asked me to try and hum it five minutes from now, I wouldn't be able to.
Got it. To be clear, I wasn't trying to point a finger here, just curious what Gum's experiences with Berru/ L or D were.
Did Stereogum ever work with Berru? Pitchfork noted in their story that Berru was an intern there in 2005 and that the publication worked with Life or Death regularly, which is no surprise considering the L or D represented.
I hope he didn't get in an Axldent.
If you buy a CD nowadays, does it come with a digital download card?
Kozelek could learn a thing or two.
listen i love FJM just as much as the next guy, but every once in a while you want to tell the class clown to just shut the fuck up for one second and let us enjoy something without your snark. part of what makes the RA version great is that it's totally devoid of irony.
gosh. some of these songs i'm hearing for the first time. "i wish you would" actually took my breath away.
This is dumb and I'm going to pretend it's not happening.
It's a beautiful time to be a Ryan Adams fan.
Funny that Apple pioneered the hardware that would make streaming viable (the iPhone/Smartphone) but are trailing far behind on a software level.
It sounds like Ben Folds by way of Sufjan. Flutes!
On a side note, I'd like to applaud Snapes for her tact--she didn't hide from the truth but didn't stoop to his level. I have a favorite phrase and I think it applies here: "Ain't No Mud on the High Road."
4chan/Redditors, "'Gum as You Are" is our motto! We are a bunch of dads who love puns, welcome!
Hey! This Pitchfork Op-Ed seems relevant to the discussion. http://pitchfork.com/thepitch/783-op-ed-why-is-violence-against-women-excusable-if-its-art/
