Either/Or will also be my favorite Elliott Smith album but Happiness will also be my favorite Elliott Smith song. The guitar work on that song is true artistry and his vocals are just perfect on it.
He did this same thing at sasquatch and for me it was the most patronizing concert I've ever been to. I could tell he was just coming up with things to say that would keep him from really performing. As someone that looks up to him as somewhat of an idol I was honestly beyond disappointed. I realize he's doing the festival circuit, but I hope he realizes that not everyone is fooled by his performance... I mean maad city four times cmon!
My brother stabbed me with a knife last week when we were fighting over who could use the knife first for our PB&J sandwiches. He says it was accident, but after reading all these comments...
Can we please talk about how fucking perfect "What Deaner Was Talking About" is. Those two minutes are what got me hooked on Ween. Also the decision to have Freedom of '76 followed by Spinal Meninigitis, was something my 13 year old mind could never really understand, it made me want more.
I remember the specific moment I heard All these things that I've done. My older brother was playing it in the garage while working on his physics bridge project when I was in sixth grade and I felt this weird sensation. I felt as if I NEEDED to hear more of it and didn't know why. I had heard music on the radio all te time and never felt any sort of deep reaction to it. I'm ambivalent about The Killers now, but they were without a doubt the first music I ever felt passionate about and that's something I can never forget.
I'm not a fan of Foster the People by any means, but seriously all of what your saying can basically be summed up with, "I don't think they're cool." Saying that a song they wrote is better than it deserves to be just shows how bias you are in approaching their music. Also, Portugal the Man are in no way a MGMT copycat and in fact have been releasing music from before MGMT was even a thing.
