could you guys have possibly drummed up a dumber list? *ba dum chhhhh*
wow, ten years. i sure have smoked a lot of weed.
*people's. man, i can't even be snarky correctly.
stereogum, kudos to you. you found a way to pander to people base need to present their own point of view, as well as upping pageviews. holla.
good grief, man, jason cooper has been the cure's drummer for 17 years. get over it.
nah. have you ever listened to s/t on headphones? you can't hear anything that's going on. there are some great synth lines on 'lost' but they're buried so deep, and smith's voice mixed so fucking high, that it's near impossible to tell. at least on WMS things are clear.
pretty solid, if fairly predictable, list, though i'd definitely place 'the cure' and '413 dream' behind 'wild mood swings' simply based on how TERRIBLE those two albums sound. wms might not have a perfect setlist, but it at least sounds good. i don't know what the producers, mixers, and engineers were thinking on their last two records (and yes, robert smith, i'm also looking at you) but they are two of the worst sounding, muddy and downright unlistenable albums i've ever heard.
good to see where your priorities are.
actually, he has not died.
this and the title track are my favorites from this album right now.
do we really need to start monday rubbing my face in three things i just can't get?
or you could always, you know, not pay attention to them.
my favorite track was and always will be 'run riot' for the guitar solo alone. not that i, um, listen to this album any more. cough.
it's not short enough :(
saw this band open for pulp earlier this year. just terrible, terrible music in my opinion.
are you guys paid extra to report on this garbage?
it's ok if i pronounce his name 'deadmau five' right?
exactly- no one is stuck in a boring, self conscious rut quite like they are.
this will destroy you killed it that night, didn't they? my 2nd time seeing them and certainly the best.
but that's pretty much every video for you, right?
wow, you're kind of a dipshit, aren't you? i think there are probably about 40 or so million people who purchased rumors back when vinyl was the dominant format simply because they liked the music. people like you love to throw out buzzword terms like 'hipster' because you think you actually have something important to say when you're really vapid and useless. you're an absolutely adorable idiot.
and i was always downvoting those comments as spam here on stereogum that mentioned how i could get shoes...
thank you. it's a great album. kozelek hasn't really ever let me down.
guess i'll go get one last pork roll egg and cheese.
interesting, just now reading a story on NME that says he could LOSE about $342 million since the shares are dropping like flies. yes, i could have made several U2 jokes there, but chose not to.
don't you have to get to da choppa or something?
you ppl are all tools. nicki minaj is ok, but dave matthews isn't?
fuck this silly douchebag. doesn't he have more crap music to make?
i'll thread on you! i'll thread you up!
i never listened to this band and i have no opinion, but i'm posting anyway.
at least this proves americans aren't the dumbest people out there. unless these were americans in switzerland.
'oh! and we all have millions of dollars. but still: freaks and geeks.'
so glad i got to see them at lollapalooza in vegas in 94. (btw, who downvoted my above comment? what's your problem?)
