i love the music of Refused, but i cringe at hearing an anti-capitalist's rant as he wears a fancy suit and rocks high-dollar Gibson guitars. after all this is someone who did at least reasonably well selling records, tickets, and merchandise without a terrible degree of government oversight.
i'm a huge fan of the drums but i'm going to have to let this song grow on me... sort of wish they had started the track @ 2:30.
i love this band... and i found out that Queen Latifah has a TV show.
if this kind of stuff bothers you then i don't know how you get out of bed in the morning. how many kids across the globe have been drone-bombed by the USA in the past 6 years alone ? NO SHUTUP SKY FERREIRA MAYBE DID SOMETHING WRONG
thanks for writing a lot of my own sentiments here. i agree with the anarcho-capitalists, but nothing GYBE has done or said really resembles any anarchist leanings aside from their DIY recordings. they're making it sound like austerity is bad thing and i'm sure they'd jump for the joy if the "kanadian" government "did something" about the supposedly-melting polar icecaps (they've gained more ice over the past year+)
cognitive dissonance. buzz you are right on the money. people don't want their delicate sensibilities disrupted, even when confronted by mountains of truth.
The Girl and the Robot - Royksøpp feat. Robyn
EHX Stereo Memory Man
the prophet-style synth tone in this track is terrific.
i agree with you man, but most kids only care about pop culture and feeling good. it's useless to appeal to reason
i bored myself it dunt wusnt good nuff
have i been rick roll'd ?
that book is ridiculously anti-intellectual. Alinsky basically just proposed to accuse and scream louder than those he'd argue with in order to shout down/silence the competition. competition is a boon to the economy as well as politics and any other format we can be involved in. you seem to possess some common sense so i strongly urge you to abandon the failure that is Keynesian economics and get familiar with Ludwig Von Mises, Rothbard, F.A. Hayek, and others of the Austrian school - where a free and voluntary society is encouraged. the collusion you speak of happens BECAUSE of Alinsky tactics. Wall St. is only capable of doing what it does b/c of corporatist-enablers in D.C. End of story.
who cares ? diplo can make a comment about his musical tastes.
Suzanne is dead-on - but/and i still dig it.
