We'll see how people feel when they release their new album and it's totally rockin'. Not trying to stick up for any kind of violence, but the dude can write tunes, that's no doubt. So while I don't have to be best friends with this dude, I can't wait for new surferblood. Oh my jeez, i can't wait.
She's not faking. Anyone with some knowledge of how music would can see that she is playing some and very obviously not playing other parts. She's got a keyboard that she doesn't play perfectly, so you know that is legit, and she has a sample up there for vocal harmonies and stuff. She sings also. There are backing vocal parts at some sections, though they are necessary because the song has multiple layers of her voice. And yeah, yeah, I know what a damn looper is, but it takes time to set up a looper, and this song moves a little to fast to set up all the harmonies and such to be able to record and sample them while keeping the pace of the song.
I have to say, while I don't LOOOOVE every single Grimes track, she is a pretty cool girl making some pretty cool tunes, and as a one woman performance, I think she did a pretty rad job getting everything from the recorded version into the live setting.
Yep.
Why? It's the government that sucks there. The people didn't go after this group. They deserve their shows. And any band that has the balls enough to play there now has my support.
While noone knows what actually happened because girl/boy problems that happen in private are usually kept private in a way, I do think it was bad for both involved. But I'm still going to listen to the new Surferblood album because, shit, Astrocoast was better than everything else. Ha.
This dude is such a loser. Why anyone follows this guy, whether out of legitimate interest or for laughs, is unknown to me. But forget that, why the fuck would someone buy a ticket to an Axl performance? First, it's 2012, we have all visited, been welcomed to, and left the fucking jungle, now shut up. And second, a G'n'R ticket is just an expensive scratch ticket with a very lukewarm grand prize...will he show or no. Fuck that guy so hard. Haha
I really liked Manners when I was in college, but this doesn't do it for me. i think that it seems to try to hard to get the whole recession thing into our heads, but you know half their fans only want to hear Sleephead type shtuffff. This isn't terrible, but it's rubbing me in all sorts of no zones.
Dude, this is the second decade of the new millennium, people don't care about selling out anymore. If you like it, listen to it. Otherwise, save the room on your iPhone or whatever and listen to that song by that guy from your city that plays rad music and makes no money and won't be able to properly record his next album or ever be able to take an experimental leap due to lack of funds.
Projects like this movie soundtrack business pays for actual recordings, production(something often overlooked and not fully understood by non-recording people) and tours. I'd like a new arcade fire album someday but they need to pay for the fantastic production that we've come to expect. Without a good producer, most of your gave albums would be unfocused.
So go ahead and 'sell out' bands, I understand you need the money to do things that actually matter, and if that money comes from areas deemed superficial then who cares.
Also, can't s band just have fun nowadays?
this is the biggest setback to human civilization...ever
icp has never had any integrity( coming from a guy who used to listen as a young teen) and now, jack white has thrown all his out the window. it's a shame.
That video isn't the actual song...and the ep is a great listen. some cool ideas and all that shiiiit. pretty much it's
01. noise
02. bowie
03. sunlandic funk with some eastern musical influence on flute and violin (ya know the kind, think indian music with it's strange ragas and stuff)
04. false priest ish
05. hissing fauna-ish
yeah, not that anything i say really has any meaning.
guys.
Yeah, man you're right. It's like the more he wanted to be out of mind, the more people have looked at him as this other-worldly being. Hopefully he comes back around, we could always use another sincere and creative human in the music industry.
