Skeletal Lamping is such an opus.
Haha, nice. I accidentally typed so much on this article, oops. Damn, I'm just so thrilled for new Angel (she's one of those "special" stars). I post photos at beautifulmagical.com if you want to see photos I make/take.
Her voice is even more the focal point here than before. She deserves her sublime diva moment.
If this hypothesis is true, then AOTY.
OK, I love the M.I.A. vibe, but these lyrics are kind of cringeworthy, right?
Uggggghhhhhhh, this is so gorgeous. Half Way Home and Burn Your Fire For No Witness slayed me. This is going to be a stake in the heart!
Oh, thank Goddess. Angel is the third queen in my holy trifecta of Joanna Newsom and Victoria Legrand. Bring me My Woman! (Also, anyone else wonder if this is just part of the song?)
Just realized that St. Vincent wasn't mentioned in the writeup about Impossible Soul and wanted to give her a shoutout. Relistening to the song after a while away. Holy shit, Sufjan.
This list makes it clear how different people's opinions can be. Impossible Soul #1 IMO because it's a juggernaut of beauty. John Wayne Gacy, Jr. comes to mind. 4th of July, All Delighted People, Should have known better...ok, I guess almost all of Adz and Carrie & Lowell. Sufjan has evolved marvelously over the course of his releases. For me, his last two are his best. Where will he go next?
I've been re-watching a bunch of Ru Paul's Drag Race.
Who loves Unknown Mortal Orchestra? I do!
Apparently so. A model with a fancy house mouthed off about her place being scouted for it. Something like that.
Was at two of the Shea shows, and they simply slayed. What a vital rock band.
And just think...this isn't even the music video that PT Anderson made.
I'm gay and somehow have never used the phrase "This is everything," but this is everything! I can't even!
