so he should shut up because he has family that has a decent amount of money? and not try to earn his own way doing what he is good at? youre an idiot. It's extremely admirable that he makes his own money. and you'd prefer him to function more like that asshat in LMFAO whos uncle is the founder of Motown Records. That's ridiculous.
I loved this album. Also I remember seeing/hearing The Black Keys for the first time because they opened for Beck on the tour for this album. That was a good night.
Amanda Palmer IS a fucking idiot. Albini should've stuck to his guns.
WHY DID YOU HAVE TO MAKE THIS LIST
yeah anybody who can claim that bon iver sounds like tune-yards sounds like black keys sounds like tv on the radio etc etc....fucking idiots.
i love these lists. everyone gets bent out of shape about their favorite song not being included or too far down the list but forgets that this isnt a peoples choice awards or anything like that, its a music blog. the article gets everyone to start thinking about their own top 10 lists and if nothing else, made a lot of people throw on their Wilco records. its great! and personally i agree with the author about Jesus Etc and Ashes of American Flags being the best songs on YHF but I'd probably put I Am Trying... on this top 10 too.
Now that I've seen this video, I actually like the song a lot more than I originally did. Its very clear to me that The Killers ARE trying (and succeeding) to be a Springsteen-esque truly-great American rock band. And they aren't trying to hide it at all. The leather jacket, this whole video's aesthetic, Brandon Flowers' fist pump at the second chorus...I kind of love it. There's something about stadium-sized rock anthems and if you can pull it off, then why the hell not?
what the fuck are you saying
i dont particular like DMB either but you sir are a huge douchebag.
because 311 sucks ass
youre laughable stereogum for assuming that drake is better than CAMP just because its Drake. shut the fuck up.
do you really think you should post something that they intended to be a privilege only for paying fan club members? cmon stereogum...
Alabama, the band. "Song of the South" forever.
