25 Years? Stereogum hasn't been around that long
Has this essentially become a more productive Guns N Roses?

"Respect motherfucking craft when you see it"
Being stuck on that bus must be boring and stuff
Caribou - Swim Kanye - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Chromatics - Kill for Love Cloud Nothings - Attack on Memory Robyn - Body Talk Bon Iver - Bon Iver Arcade Fire - Suburbs
"The sound they have is a very tight and singular style and there’s not much room to move about." Kinda like the Interpol conundrum?
I was pretty impressed with the first episode of Sonic Highways. It's hard to argue with anything that gives Steve Albini that much air time. It's just sad that the ended off this inspirational visit to Chicago with a really mediocre song.
Please link to your detailed livejournal post on what is and isn't punk.
Agree, I feel like the latter half of TOBL has the kind of songs that reward repeated listens.
I wonder how this would be viewed were it their first album.
Swap out "Ocean of Noise" for "My Body Is a Cage" and you've got the setlist
As a former Wisconsinite, this always makes me dream of seeing d-bag Governor Scott Walker front some drone metal.
Does it have to be Brooklyn based? I'm willing to put good money on a Velvet Underground or Ramones cover played over the three shows.
This is just indie Cribs, right?
Nice list. I'd put the Young Liars EP version of Staring at the Sun (w/ the long intro) @ #1.
So participants will have to keep their shitty, muddy wristbands on for a month to get into Farm Fest?
I had a similar reaction. Upon first listen, I thought it kinda sucked, but then had it stuck in my head for hours. Now, I'm a fan.

All of this aside, I've been to the Uptown Diner and it's quite good.
Bowls is probably my personal favorite as well.
I'm always excited to see something new from Interpol. But, did I see Paul playing bass?
Hey Stereogum, can we get a list of top ten Dan Snaith tracks?
Slapped Actress?
I cannot wait to see what Dan Snaith does next with Caribou
excited for: White Sauce/White Pie Sweet Pane
I agree completely. Debbie, a Stanford-trained engineer, should be decently versed in intellectual property and copyrights.
I feel like it's not even fair to tease me with MJ vocals on Get Lucky. Now I'm going to spend the afternoon replaying a 2 second clip of what I think that would sound like in my head.
Pleasantly surprised to see Year Zero so high.
Martha kills me each time I hear it.
Ditto, Train in Vain
Missed a prime opportunity to categorize this article under "Where's the Biff?"
This is the only thing that I've listened to today since 2:10pm
