Im super lame and the first time i heard of TVOTR i was in a Pacific Sunwear and "Crying" came on and i was like WHAT WHO and ive loved them ever since. To be fair I had heard of them before that moment in time but i was never really amazed by any of their stuff and to be clear i went back and revisited their first two albums and i have been a fan since. Also fun fact they are the only band I call "one of my favs" that i have never seen live yet. One day!
Dude I was at the Natalie Prass show too! She was incredible. Basically like a best case scenario for any show you see. She was completely amazing, sounded great, charismatic, and her band was on point and actually interpreted the songs for a live setting. It made me 10X more of a fan than I was going in.

Wait so did you stop to say hi to her at Pitchfork? Or is that, like, not cool for music writers to do without a scheduled interview? Lauryn Hill is probably one of those people I would be super grateful but also completely terrified to meet in real life. There's a difference between meeting her and meeting, like, Lady Gaga. I almost see Gaga as more of a peer. I sure do love the shit out of her but i think if i ever met her i would just give her a big hug and shoot the shit with her for a minute, take a shot of tequila, etc. If I ever met Lauryn Hill i would just be completely at a loss for words. I feel this way about Fiona Apple as well. They are just too cool, too otherworldly, everything i would say would just come up short.
Top 5 def and maybe taking that #1 spot! To be honest, I probably cannot clearly define what my top 5 albums of all time are. I love so much at different times for different reasons, it would be super hard to dwindle it down to 5. But Miseducation is definitely on that list, so why not just make it #1!
No sorry wasn't referring to that at all! I actually enjoy Miguel, i've seen him live. I just feel like his face constantly says "yea i know, everyone wants to fuck me."
We already got this years Emotion and it’s called Golden Hour baby! But your hype has me hyped and now I’m super excited to listen to this thing! Also I totally love that you love everything.
