How can you pick? Paul Simon's songs have been there for me in times of need and abundance, jubilation and desperation. His catalog is such a treasure. For the sake of this giveaway, I'll limit it to a tie between Duncan and Graceland.
Thank you so much. I've written on about three or four of these countdowns that they should do one for Bruce and now you finally have. I'm a huge springsteen fan as well, I wrote my final paper in one of my classes last year on Nebraska, Darkness on the Edge of Town, and Deindustrialization in the American Midwest. My list would be pretty similar to yours, with similar views, except I would have ranked The Rising much, much higher, for it's historical significance alone. My top five would have been The Rising, Born to Run, Nebraska, Wild, Innocent, The E Street Shuffle, then Darkness at number one. Glad to see Springsteen appreciated as not only a showboat but the quintessential American songwriter he is.
What a stellar year for music thus far. Shaking the Habitual is my favorite of the year so far, probably because I've been waiting for it for such a long time and it definitely delivered. However, alot of these records I have not listened to nearly as much as they deserve, especially the new National, Vampire Weekend, and JT albums. Which is why winning all of these great albums on vinyl would be so awesome!
I doubt that anyone who reads this article trashing the add and watches it will be compelled to buy an hp product, so this coverage of the ad does not really benefit HP in the slightest.
