What makes you say they're not black? They've never revealed what they look like as far as I know
100% agree with this. The typographical 'flaws' are intentional – not in the sense that the designer's gone out of his way to 'break' it, rather there's a purposeful (and topical) lack of attention to detail – and Sufjan taking this to task belies his own lack of ability to contextually understand an artwork. In other words, it's like listening to MBV's Loveless and criticising its audio production values.
Same. this page also made my Macbook crash... I'm guessing it's what happens when you sit 30 Youtube embeds on top of an already horribly bloated site?
I wish I could like this comment more than once.
Is a wee bit dull, to be quite honest. I want it to be better, I'm trying.
You talk about negative vibes this like you're surprised... if you'd been on the money in the first place (or listened to your readership) you'd have shredded her to pieces long ago. Instead, Stereogum = Pitchfork.
Thanks, Captain Obvious.
Now I'm only 50% sure this album will be rubbish.
I'm 90% sure this album will be rubbish.
Sort of abysmally generic production, no?
That's the most pathetic excuse for a "riot" I've ever seen...
Probably Jackie Lomax's "Is This What You Want."
I think it's incoherent because you're making blanket uneducated statements based on negative hype directed towards a globally critiqued world leader. I'm not saying you're wrong; I'm simply saying it's unintelligent.
