Earl Sweatshirt is the Louie C.K. of Hip-hop. No frills, depressing at times, but extremely skilled with a microphone.
looks like Kanye West's album wasn't the only thing that came out early
You expected the guy who wrote "Novocane" to give a more lively performance?
Frank Ocean and Outkast should record an album together
bands that had a bunch of good songs on their album were at a disadvantage, their votes got divided
so this is a list ranking them from oldest to youngest
"When Earth Is Ashes You Have My Permission To Die"
quotes not heard in the new Star Trek movie..."This Universe deserves a better class of criminal"..."some men just want to watch the stars burn"
It was a "good" (kid, maad city) and "bad" (Girls- MIA video and "" Religion- Frank Ocean) year

Can't you see? This is the reason time travel movies are great! It makes your brain electrify with endless possibilities.
anywhere I can find video of the full set they did with BBC?
Who says it's a rule bands need to have a grander follow up? How often does that ever work out? Didn't everyone like the first one BECAUSE of the simplicity?? They almost went the opposite direction of what people expected, which I like.
My theory why SOME people are disappointed is because they want to like it as much as they like the first album, and they want to be aware of that after the FIRST listen. They have forgotten what it was it like when they first heard the xx. It's the type of music that grows on you, it takes time to build inside you. I love it. Chained is my jam.
this might earn me some thumbs downs, but other than the singles the album is pretty un-listenable, and I'm an Ariel Pink fan, just not of this.
and that's only the first song
