Yeah, overuse probably does weaken it on one level, but on another level it perpetuates the meaning for anyone who misses the irony.
Long Snake Moan out Zeppelins anything Led Zeppelin recorded. It is immense.
Have no idea who Abigail Breslin is or what that tweet is about. Who's Courtney's snark aimed at, Kim or Lana?
Sorry, but that shower curtain is hilarious. Who wouldn't have that in their bathroom tempting fate that a Janet Leigh style murder might occur?
Agree with everything you say about Miley Chris.
Springsteen is my favourite artist, and I love BTR. But I think Bruce's perspective matured as an artist after he faced all the pitfalls of fame and the fallout with management. Those first three albums can be too romanticised for me at times. Darkness is where he truly found his voice, telling the stories of working class people and others fighting against unfortunate cirumstances. For those reasons I see Darkness as part of the holy trinity, with Nebraska (perhaps his most artiscally accomplished work) and BITUSA. Born in the USA wins out though, because it's my introduction to him, rocking out to his tunes when I was four or five. 1. Born in the USA 2. Nebraska 3. Darkness on the Edge of Town 4. Tunnel of Love 5. The Rising 6. Magic 7. Born To Run 8. The River 9. Devils and Dust 10. The Wild the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle 11. The Ghost of Tom Joad 12. Greetings from Asbury Park 13. Wrecking Ball 14. We Shall Over Come: The Seeger Sessions 15. Lucky Town 16. Human Touch 17. Working on a Dream
Some ageist fucks too by the looks of it
Don't like hearing that, considering how much I idolise the guy's music! Always pictured him as a guy who would be good to meet face to face.
Love Another Body Murdered. Who cares if Boo Ya Tribe were nonentities. That song is off the hook. Especially Patton's screaming.
The Morrisey hate always makes me laugh. By getting worked up by what he says you're just playing into his hands.
To get on a soapbox and be a giant pain in the ass ironically
That is absolute bullshit. Too much is made of her gender. It's her policies she's hated for.
Rubies the best for mine. One of my favourite albums of all time.
That is a much better list than the crappy Stereogum one!
One thousand times, yes.
Thinking Sean Penn looks pretty great in that film as a pulp-era villain. That movie looks awesome.
The Mets tribute was great. I really, really didn't like the Coldplay cover. But kudos for paying tribute.
