Well, if your judging this isn't the first new single from The Amazing in a good while, then yeah, you could say that. The last most recent single, 2012's "Bjorkhagen" (which you can hear at this link -> http://www.rdio.com/artist/The_Amazing/album/Bj%C3%B6rkhagen/), was much better and it's a fact that The Amazing are one of the best side project bands out there this side of POND/Tame Impala. I look forward to their new album,

Wow, my 1# was Jim James's 'Regions Of Light & Sound Of God'....I guess they can claim that glaring mistake of not adding this album to their official list consideration due to having missed last week's Jim James episode of 'Austin City Limits'....
"..starts of fairly solidly but goes downhill rather quickly".
perfect description of my digestive process after partaking in one of your edible death burritos, Chippy Of Potle..
In My Opinion, Some more new tracks worthy of mention:
The Boxer Rebellion - 'Diamonds'
Splashh - 'Need It'
Royal Blood - 'Figure It Out'
Miles Kane - 'Better Than That'
Gabriel Bruce - 'Honey Honey Honey'
The Spinto Band - 'Amy + Jen'
Radkey - 'Cat & Mouse'
Is Tropical - 'Lover's Cave'
Stornoway - 'Hook, Line, Sinker'
Electric Soft Parade - 'Welcome To The Weirdness'
Sometimes artists have to do unbearable, pretentious, awful music to pay the bills, and since the breakthrough success of 'walking on a dream', it appears Littlemore/Steele are in this artsy-fartsy musical phase for this and a third album...do I hate easily, maybe, if I was on the internet jesting, but I like 'Ice On The Dune', songs like 'Surround Sound'/'Ice On The Dune' keep Empire's sound fresh and the icetray pop singles of 'DNA'/'Alive' keep the pop kids a'poppin' and a'dancin'. Though hopefully down the road Steele will vacate these '21st Century Starlight Express Jamiroquai Headdresses' and record another Sleepy Jackson album, cause there's no doubt that he's a 'Next Brian Wilson in waiting' after producing the most genuinely awesome opus of his generation with 2006's "Personality".
Kanye's 'Yeezus' is as religiously, socially and topically captivating as the last important hip hop album of it's time and pedigree, 2Pac's waxing of the baptist with 1996's opus "Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory", under the pseudo name 'Makaveli'
I think that was intentional, after such a dark, dank, bloody ride through hell with Ye for the rest of the album, it really needed that 'cool down' weirdness at the tailend
Here's the continuing problem, Tyler, the royalty rating system is still so flawed that artists still don't make enough money to live. And I'm not talking about 'successful established musical acts', I'm talking about the indie artists out there whom still, under the current royalty system, get an average of only $3-$4 profit per album sold and less than 40-50 cents per dollar download of a single. Legit stream sites, from Pandora-Spotify, operate under the same system...so I expect a few more cents per listen may be thrown out but alas...they still aren't paid enough...
EA is more of The Borg than Google...if I were to do a star trek alien species comparison to them, Google are the Klingons, fighting among themselves and buying out any new app tech when they can..
Nothing will be better than Spotify....unless you have an extensive collection of music and stream it through your cloud to your portable tech devices.....oh and BTW, Stereogum staff, new QOTSA album 'Like Clockwork' has leaked...just for your FYI...cheers..
