I saw him a few weeks ago, he put in a pretty respectable performance at the time...although there were several moments in the show were he cut songs short because the audience wasn't being rewarding enough to 'deserve' the whole song.
I mean, damn. Streaming really IS about how many things an artist has available to stream at any given time.
I suspect having an assortment of songs less than three minutes length apiece doesn’t fucking hurt either.

That being said, this level of dumbshittery seems a bit extreme. The self-mutilation bit gives me pause, and concern if this is the direction he wants to keep heading in now.
After digesting the statement for a bit, I think what he MIGHT be trying to say is, if he continued in the direction he had been going, would definitely end up hurting many people and becoming a monster.
