No, because nothing she says in that song is an example of irony. She doesn't understand the concept at all, which, if you think about it, is actually pretty ironic.
None of the above comments seem to consider the differences between individual shows and festival appearances. I had a discussion with a part time Radiohead fan (Bends, OK Computer and that's it) who was adamant that they can play what they like at an individual show which is obviously full of people specifically there to them, but should play all the crowd favourites at a festival appearance. As a huge Radiohead fan I kind of saw her point but was insistent that they can play what they like. Thinking about it though, was I just being selfish because it's hard for them to play a song that I don't like?
"Could be one of the more polarising releases of the year" is basically shorthand for "We think it's shit".
Ugh! This is Klaxons with their balls cut off. It sounds more like Hurts. Awful.
Totally agree. None Shall Pass was the first Aesop Rock work I found myself disappointed by. It would be fifth or sixth on my list. Hard to choose between Float, Labor Days and Bazooka Tooth.
Well, it was actually the hypocrisy of her playing the rebel when she's actually just a good little corporate whore, but now you mention it yes, the idea of Lily Allen criticising the music of Radiohead is hilarious. In short yes, I literally agree with what you're saying despite your pathetic attempt at sarcasm.
Lily Allen was once asked on a quiz show "What was special about the release of Radiohead's album In Rainbows?" to which she replied "Well it certainly wasn't the music" and then went on a rant about their pay-what-you-like-fuck-the-record-labels release strategy which sounded like it could have been read verbatim from a major label PR release. Any chance she had of me becoming a fan were officially done there and then. If she'd released any great music since then I would have had a terrible dilemma. Luckily that quandary has never presented itself.
Some people may well have done that, but it doesn't invalidate a single thing I said.
Read your post back, then grab a dictionary and look up the word hypocrisy.
Jeez. So many things wrong with this statement. You find people who hate Coldplay to be 'childish and irrational', and then go on to imply that anyone who hates Coldplay 'can't think for themselves' and are simply letting 'backlash trends' influence their opinions. Maybe I, and many others have genuinely thought they were, if not shit, then at least massively overrated right from the start? Saying that we Coldplay haters can't think for ourselves seems a little, well, childish and irrational.
The people saying Coldplay is shit are absolute idiots. It's Coldplay 'are' shit.
Yeah, and whoever doesn't realise that this is just De La reciting their verses from Plug Tunin' frankly shouldn't be working for a music site.
Always appreciate the irony of any Gallagher accusing another band of being overrated.
I despise every atom of this prick and am enjoying the irony of the fact that it's taken an industry as ridiculous as fashion to see that the man is not a hundredth as talented as he thinks he is. It's like that crushing moment Stringer Bell realises that there's a whole 'nother level of power above him that he didn't even contemplate. Schadenfreude is a beautiful thing.
I don't even necessarily rate Busta that highly, but Kanye and Wayne don't even deserve to breathe the same air as these two.
This is sickening. James Franco clearly mouthes the word "Nigga" on a couple of occasions. I for one am completely offended. Seriously though, the worst thing about this video is that it meant I had to listen to this absolute pile of garbage song twice.
By the way, I only watched this crap coz someone sent me the Franco/Rogan parody and I thought I wouldn't appreciate it without seeing this first, but how it can be any funnier than this rubbish I can't imagine.
Wow! I just.....I mean.....wow. Is this what passes for genius these days? Now I've been hating on this moron for a long time now, to the point where I don't even bother listening to a lot of his stuff because I just can't process the claims of brilliance that are bestowed on him when put against the appalling rapping that comes out of his mouth. The whole "bad reputation/sad reputation/ mad reputation" bit? The "Can you remember where we first met? Okay, I can't remember where we first met" bit? "Wanna fuck you on the sink, then make you something to drink"? I mean, is this a joke I'm not getting? This is some of the most awful rapping I've heard in a long time, and yes, that's probably because I don't listen to things like 2Chains and Rick Ross and shit like that who are probably even worse from the tiny bits I have heard, but how, under any definition of the word, no matter how loosely you're using it, does this guy qualify as a genius?

Really thought Y.A.L.A. would be a shoe in for this list. I would have liked to see Bird Flu on there too, although I prefer the even crazier Damgroove Remix of that tune.
