Lateralus is a good album. I remember that shit. Terrible. It is. It was for The Fucking Champs IV. Unfortunately, it's no longer there.
Did you just paraphrase a line from the best review Pitchfork ever published?
It's payback for Mickey Mantle doing the same thing to NYC.
That Wedge is great dude. I was digging that addition to the gummer playlist.
Yeah it's pretty filthy. Think Pallbearer but, like, the exact opposite.
Seriously, the best posse cut ever. RIP Craig Mack.
I love the VU but this is a no-brainer. That Stones run 10 out of 10 times.
Not only did he play with Earth, he played with Melvins. Google is your friend https://nirvana-legacy.com/2014/07/24/kurt-cobain-and-the-earth-sessions-of-october-1990/
It was an excuse to post that clip, which always sends chills up my spine even after hundreds of views.
You must be a huge Copremesis fan.
Favorite working band then. Ok, that's easy. That strange time in the 90's when major labels tried to push "edgy" bands into the mainstream yielded some strange but amazing fruit, like Neurosis' short-lived run on the Ozzfest tour. Clearly, they were not there to convert Coal Chamber fans. They were there to fucking destroy. When bassist Dave Edwardson comes in last in the triple vocal attack, his throaty bellow makes this abundantly clear. And Noah Landis punishes his sampler with balled up fists. Which is why I don't do that. Act like you've been there...27 times.
Metal, like Virginia, is for lovers. That statement has everything to do with all that preceded your final sentence, so we are clear.
The principle at play here, cokeparty, is supporting a region that has been good to me. I live a great life and it isn't JUST because I'm awesome. I've had help. Zero conflict with my Yankee love. Objective realities still exist, despite the world saying otherwise.
Personally, I think you're nuts! Haha I love Krallice but they're barely even black metal (which means nothing in terms of my enjoyment of said thing). Krallice is super knotty, impenetrable music which is much more of a barrier to entry than anything mgla conjures. I'm pretty sure you're not referring to the music btw but the point stands. If people care enough to dig into any of these bands, they'll figure out if they are or are not #problematic on their own. I will just be more careful when recommending bands in the future. mgla is perfect for anyone looking to find an entry point. It's melodic, tuneful, hooky black metal. As you alluded to, 'Exercises In Futility' is a concept every human can relate to. It really is the form perfected with none of the Satanism the genre was founded on. Speaking of Lev Weinstein (Krallice drummer), he also drums for Anicon who is opening for Inter Arma tonight. That's TWO of the best drummers on the planet in one tiny Brooklyn room. Color me excited. I hope my boner doesn't offend anyone.
A quantum leap forward/in time and space...
mgla's Exercises In Futility is a sterling example of mastery of form. 2nd wave inspired black metal par excellence. They do nothing new but they do it better than anyone. It may even be the best post-2nd wave 2nd wave black metal album ever made. That intricate, dancing cymbal work on "V" is sublime and devastatingly effective in making my sweatpants boner activate. Krallice is great too.
That's only natural (science).
This is the way to be. I'm a Yankee fan but have lived in Queens most of my adult life so support the Mets (plus Citi Field is a far superior experience shhh).
That's the appropriate thing to do.
Congrats man. Hook up the system and blast Hemispheres.

Smallbany in the house!
These cats own the Houndstooth Pub on 8th Ave. in NYC. Let's get shithammered and blast "Crack the Shutters", shed a tear or two, blackout, and go the fuck home.
Also, The Bees Made Honey In the Lions Skull is an essential post-doom album, if that's a thing. Either way, yes to all of it!
I was just thinking - how pissed would his detractors be if he actually hit this goal? That would be worth everything. https://media.tenor.com/images/fce7db953dbb98558f950d758734a869/tenor.gif
