for the acts booked (including Libertines and Supergrass) tickets are 17 to 40 (pounds)
Never head of these guys before today. Found out there is a reason for that (oof). I do however like Slaves (the UK duo) mentioned in the article.
Slaves is already a band in the UK. formed a couple years prior to this one.
Look how cool I am. I've heard someone say something before.
So he's never hit his "goal" then?
Song is really mediocre, at best. The vocal hook (which is barely there) is something they've used multiple times before. They are the E! news of bands.
Probably the same percentage as trust fund babies popping molly in April.
festivals in the US jumped the shark about 7/8 years ago. There's very little do justify the cost unless you haven't been to one.
KOL and Killers are perfect examples when decent bands go bad. First few records are really good (with both, but esp KOL) then they go play arenas with boring newer catalogs in tow. First 3 KOL are great, but the ones since have been ok at best, but mostly bad.
That much is obvious. That should be the case.
@David Mobley - read the article again. That's not what she was getting.
and all those concerts charge much more because they have to.
deprives... don't buy that at all. I never had any money growing up, but always made a point to buy records. discovering new music? i did that just fine before all this internet stuff so don't act like pulling things down is depriving anyone. Make just enough to get by, ideally? Who are you to determine this? That very example counteracts what you say it's supposed to do. There are tons of passionate people that can not pursue it simply due to the devaluing of music in the digital age.
