this sounds like the work of either a) a troll or b) a person who doesn't actually like MF Doom? Like, what? You're going to open a writeup of Madvillainy with criticism about its use of panning?
The headline reads "Iceage Comment Partly," not "Iceage And The Real Critical Evaluation It Deserves And THat a Punk Rock Fan Would Have Loved To Read." It's not supposed to be about the snippet at the top, It's supposed to be about the comments. Hence the name.
I was at work across the street when this was happening, and the reports of it are way more dramatic than it actually was (from what i could see at least)
"For example, I can listen to one guy with a guitar and want to slit my wrists in a bad way, but I can listen to another guy with a guitar and want to slit my wrists in a good way — even when there is very little difference in what they are doing. It’s so weird, but you can’t always explain what it is exactly that makes one good and one awful. In the same way, you can’t always decipher what makes people respond the way they do to your music. And thinking about those things too much can really spoil everything."
brilliant
this is awesome. i saw them at whartscape two summers ago and literally didnt know what to think, it was such a crazy performance. they seemed transfixed or something. really excited to hear this album
pretty sure that fleet foxes tweet was more than semi-sarcastic. i would be absolutely baffled if a company ever did that. the tweet was a reference that fleet foxes got similarly stolen from by some european company pretty recently
