Been a Neil young fan since as long as I can remember my first memory, so I felt compelled to comment. Good list overall. I'm sure it was no easy task. My number one and two would be After The Gold Rush and Rust Never Sleeps. Broken Arrow needs a better ranking. I still remember seeing Neil on this tour. He opened with Big Time. That guitar crunch and tone. The hypnotic extended jam. Such a good tune. Finally, I would have ranked self titled higher for the loner and ive been waiting for you. Cheers.
In Rainbows is way too low on the list. You should really consider including a reader poll with these articles. By reading the comments, it seems like SG got this one wrong. Everybody knows that HTTT, PH and KOL are in the basement, while OKC, KA and IR are in the attic.
I went to a show last night in Toronto. Zodiac (Jeremy Rose) was one of the headliners. All the opening bands (except for BADBADNOTGOOD,) were clearly trying to ride this R&B thing. Each act had some dude standing behind an apple laptop queuing up moody electro R&B beats in Ableton and a white MC trying to sound like Able or Drake. It was pretty corny, to be honest. BADBADNOTGOOD knocked it out of the park though.
