If you like this, check out the Mint Juleps covering this song from Spike Lee’s amazing “Do It Acapella” doc from 1990. Transcendent. https://youtu.be/csKY9Mb_cIk
I'm glad you've started to cover Isbell. It's become clear over the last few years that dude's operating on another level.
You can download each track from the Soundcloud page.
I love CASSADAGA and I think "Lime Tree" is a perfect song. It's a gorgeous and spare, with impeccably-arranged strings; mostly, though, Oberst's voice makes it great. He sounds more present than ever, and it gives me chills.
Great idea, give ballots to a bunch of MAGICIANS.
"Over-complex"? Football, which we can agree is a "real sport," would take an entire miniseries to explain. That only privileged college kids can play it-- if that's true-- doesn't make it a terrible game (terrible name, though, to be sure), and it certainly doesn't make sense for you to be upset about its existence. I can see being upset that you aren't playing it RIGHT NOW instead of being at work, but that's about it. Sports!

"STELLLAAAAAAAA ARRRRRRRRTOIS!!"
I think this was the inspiration behind Jay Leno's decision to ship himself to Port-Au-Prince in his 1955 Packard Caribbean so he can host a new discounted-admission comedy tour he thought up called "Don't You Haiti When..."
