this is the worst possible outcome for this song
Only question is if I should go to all 3 chicago dates
This album cover is worse that FOTB
"Binz" into "Beltway" is fuckin killer
No Drug Like Me is the real standout here but both songs are great
Part of the Math was released on A Day With the Homies
A worthy follow up to Sweetener. Nothing amazing here outside of the title track which still slaps and perhaps needy. Maybe more songs I’m indifferent to, but nothing as offensive as some of the Pharrell led songs on her last album (looking at you, sweetener)
Devoid of any emotion? Go listen to Hannah Hunt again.
I mean, obviously would love to see Jenny do it. Just screams mid-tempo drag number to me. In the best way!
I need to see a drag queen perform this song ASAP
I am so hyped for a new James Blake album. "Don't Miss It" and "If The Car..." were two of my favorite songs of 2018.
Buoys into Inner Monologue is pretty damn incredible. Still getting used to how sparse the record is, but definitely enjoying it.
His version of “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” makes me weep every. single. time.
It's up on Spotify now
This is probably a reach, but these lyrics from "Hell is chrome" feel relevant to this story as well: I was welcomed With open arms I received so much help in every way I felt no fear I felt no fear
A ghost is born still their greatest achievement in my eyes. Take out Less than you think and it's a perfect album.
Here for this. All the new stuff he's been playing on tour has been incredible. Very excited for this one.
I was a huge fan of Ruminations but I think The Rockaways might be better than anything on that album. Goddamn that song blew me away.
Sis, if this ain't a bop i dunno what is
I’m not buying into this. This guy has a history of being a total shit bag whether in recovery or not. Some people are just assholes. Fuck Ryan Adam.
The Chastity record blew me away. This is pretty great as well. Looking forward to hearing more.
Serpent with feet at the end of Tonya >>>>
Yup. You said it better than I did.
I disagree completely. I think part of what makes these songs so special is that they couldn't come from anyone else. Miguel (or someone similar) singing these songs would fall so flat imo.
I already have the majority of these songs on vinyl and cassette but I'll probably end up getting this anyways. Cup sounds great.
Trapped In Dillard's is so great. Also the St. Louisan in me loves that they named a song Crown Candy
The TVotR comparison is pretty spot on, especially with the first song. Overall really enjoying this.
I sincerely think Centipede Hz is one of their best. Up there with Feels, SJ, Merriweather and Sung Tongs for me. New Town Burnout came on shuffle yesterday and prompted me to listen to the whole thing again.
