I say this as an enormous fan of everything Damon has done, he should really just let this rest. He clearly had a point that would apply to a large amount of the pop sphere and just picked the wrong artist probably from ignorance, sexism whatever. Just accept you put your foot in your mouth and move on.
Marvel is the McDonalds of entertainment, you cant have it all the time but its fine to eat when you are hungover and dont feel like cooking...this analogy tracks i think.
I have been a fan for a while, back to my comic book days, and I made the ill-advised move to watch all of the Marvel movies back to back with my girlfriend like a big tv show and it absolutely broke me.
if this movie doesn't bring Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and Christian Bale back into the Bat-verse because Magic I am going to feel not pandered to!
She, unfortunately, sounds like the countless singers that people like Kaskade and Deadmau5 have used for years on songs just like this. It's fine but it's leaning harder into generic EDM and kinda loses what makes her interesting in the first place.
This was my thought, nothing groundbreaking but having the Weeknd is a good bet for a lead single and her singles have been so god damn good im not worried at all about the rest of the album.
I mean if there was ever an artist I would happily listen to with just an instrument/voice but it definitely tapered my expectations for the rarity disc.
